I have an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and I'd like to laser cut an acrylic cover for the top to prevent heat escape while working with ABS and also add a carbon filter. The challenge is I've not been able to find dimensioned drawings of the frame. I've found plenty of downloadable versions of the frame for laser cutting, but nothing that includes dimensions. Specifically I need the widths/angles/radii of the upward facing tab-like structures at the center of the front, back, left, and right sides. Thanks, /Chris

I'm having the same issue. I've noticed that as the filament gets to the end of the roll, the angle it gets pulled at forces it against the wall of the reel, increasing friction and causing under extrusion. Even with their own filament rolls this seems to be a frequent issue, and an unfortunate design oversight by Ultimaker. It looks like moving the filament holder slightly lower and to the right would fix this, but I'm hoping there is a solution that does not require major changes to the printer. Anyone have any tips to resolve this?
