  1. Hi Cuniculus, Franny500, I haven't tried it yet with CPE+ but normal CPE reacts to Chloroform but not on Acetone. If you are able to obtain Chloroform be sure to use it with care! Good luck
  2. Hi Loki, It is unfortunate that some resellers don't always have their site up to date. A while back it has been communicated to the resellers and on the website that Ultimaker has discontinued the Ultimaker Original and all upgrades for it. Parts that are UMO only should be still available for the next 5 years or so. As for the upgrades, this stock has been distributed over all the resellers. As soon as they are all out that's the end of the story. Non can be ordered anymore since the product pack now no longer exists. I hope iGo has one for you!
  3. Hi Loki, iGo3D in Germany still sells these kits as long as their stock lasts. They do have a lead time of 3-4 weeks at this moment. https://www.igo3d.com/de/ultimaker-original-heated-bed-upgrade-kit.html If you want to upgrade your stock Ultimaker Original to a + you would need the heated bed assembly and the Ultimaker 2 mainboard (quite expensive). Or source the parts in the kit. To make it work on the Ultimaker Original mainboard you need the Heated bed PCB. Since this is an Original part I am not sure if this is easy obtainable. Just in case you haven't found it yet, you can view the Build Of Materials of the heated bed upgrade kit on the Github page : https://github.com/Ultimaker/HeatedBedUpgrade Good luck!
  4. I can understand your frustration, ideally every reseller would offer the same as the Ultimaker store used to do and I think that that is the future plan of Ultimaker also. Anyway if you are in need of filament I can advice you to purchase this through Trideus: http://www.trideus.be/en/filament/ultimaker/pla/ Happy printing!
  5. Hi Franny500, I attached a Cura image for you which shows a bit what you were looking for. The fact is that there are glass clips on the bed which take a way a few mm in the corners of the print bed. So the largest square will be a little bit smaller than for example the print I choose. I would advice to go no larger than 221x221 mm to reduce the risk of your printhead slamming against the sides. Other than that you are good to go!
  6. @Meduza, The thread of the Olsson nozzle is indeed M6x1. Since 3D Solex sells the Olsson block and additional nozzles I think you are in a good spot to purchase them there
  7. Hey there, I wanted to give one of my prints (well two actually) a more finished look by painting them to look more like the real deal. (2 cats from my friend) Since the print had some holes in the top I had to be a little bit creative. We had a little bit of Chloroform lying around here so by dissolving some colored pieces of PLA in that I was able to close the holes and give the cats their spots. I must say that I only painted the brighter colors with the Chloroform mixture as it did not dissolve very easily, The black was done by dissolving ABS in Acetone Were you able to get your model painted the way you wanted to?
  8. Just out of curiosity, is your printer now functioning as it should?
