  1. Having read many threads on this issue I would like to add that in my case ignoring the problem and letting the leak seal itself is not working, I get large blobs appearing intermittently on prints. Heating the tip does not make removing the material easy since there is so much of it it remains solid, and further,, it is wrapped around the wiring entering the area above the hot tip. I have a Ultimaker 2+ that is less than 2 weeks old. I am thinking the leaking problem is more than I want to cope with. I am no longer satisfied with this product.
  2. I previously had posted about possibly having the brittle filament from Ultimaker that came with the unit. I asked for a determination if the video I provided was demonstrative of that defect and asked for instructions on how to return the filament for good filament. Tangling has been a constant problem. Possibly as a result of the tangling, a new problem has developed. The area above the hot tip is now filled with melted filament. I have no clue how to deal with this. I've attached a video showing the situation. I am happy to get advice from the community, but as with my last post, I am hopeful to get some direction from Ultimaker. Thank you. LeLapinBlanc
  3. Greetings! I love my Ultimate 2+! I am new at this so I will let the experts make the decision. Pretty much every print I've made has failed 2 or 3 times with tangled filament. I am using the first spool that came with the unit. I read a post that there was a batch of birttle filament, that can be tested by bending the filament in a 90 degree angle and see if it breaks. I'm having that happen as demoed in a video. I also showed one of my prints that requires 24 hours, that took several attempts to get to complete due to binding. I also read how to avoid binding, but frankly, I don't get it. The filament goes loose for 5 or 6 turns on the spool when you let it go, and this is the apparent cause of the tangles later on. If Ultimaker decides that I have brittle filament from the video I would like to know how to return it and get non brittle filament.
