  1. I have travel speed - 200 mm/s ... if I try to print cooler then 200C (and of course slower) I have more terrible results ... maybe PLA quality is really the reason. It's Verbatim White PLA.
  2. looks like this one http://support.3dverkstan.se/article/23-a-visual-ultimaker-troubleshooting-guide#z-drop
  3. Also one very interesting photo (from my point of view of course) As you can see - legs are not really gut .... actually they are terrible (holes, gaps and so on), but "body" itself - has very nice quality. The difference is - "body" has one very long perimeter, legs - short perimeters with a lot of retraction. I think that the S3D configuration for my UMO+ is a bit wrong otherwise my towers was printed without retraction but they have also small perimeters (compare to the "body" part on the last photo) ... hm.
  4. Thank you agan What is your expiriens with GT2 belts? I readed in this forum, that the change from mxl to gt2 - it should be the first step if you want to modify your printer ... but what really stange is if I search for GT2 belts on AliExpress (for example), I see only sets for Ultimaker 2 ... and nothing for Ultimaker Original ...
  5. Thank you for you help and attention! hm ... but ... my two tower are not really perfect. The left one is a bit better then right but ... is it filament quality problem or maybe mxl belts? Wrong print temperature or extrusion? Vibrations? Maybe software (I use S3D) ? Or is it the best quality what I can have with UMO+ and 0,1mm layer?
  6. Ok, now foto Details: Size - 10x10x100mm, Layer hight - 0.1 mm, one perimeter, nozzle diameter - 0.4mm. Right tower: temperature 210C, flow - 100% Left tower: temperature 216C, flow 110%. It seams that right tower has a little bit under-extruded layers.
  7. Thank you for the quick reply! 0.2 mm layer high is each for the tall towers? or better to use 0.1 mm? It means that linear bearings shouldn't be oiling at all?
  8. Hi, people! I have UMO+ (about one month) and if I move my print bed down (just by hand) I hear some strange sound from the linear bearings ... It sounds like "clicks" and "crackle". Is it normal or linear bearing are damaged? The second question is also about linear bearings but for the XY head moving (in printer head). It seems they have some small play if I try a little bit to sway the nozzle. Is it ok or maybe I need to buy more quality linear bearings? Thank you in andvance! Regards, Alex
  9. Just one idea. If I need to print something like a cylinder Cura 2.3.0 do following 1) at first will be print inner perimeter (or outer perimeter depend on configuration) 2) then nozzle will be moved to print out perimeter 3) then outer perimeter is finished a bed go a bit down and the nozzle will be moved to print inner perimeter again. The problem is: the moving of the bed and the moving of the nozzle at the same time cause a lot of additional vibrations. The better way in this case - don't change from outer to inner perimeter, just move the bed down and continue the printing of the outer perimeter. With other words it will be very helpful to have a configuration possibility to alternate inner and outer perimeters for each new layer. Thank you for attention!
  10. Thank you for the explanation! My be it will be possible to add some configuration to avoid this rule? To set top layer to 0 - it is not gut idea, in this case I have just a hole on the top of my model ))) (but the walls in this case have really only two perimeters)
  11. Say you have a pyramid. Does a pyramid have a top layer? Or the walls with the same tilt angle on each layer and a singular point on the top? The walls of a sphere have just different tilt angles on the each layer ...
  12. Hi, maybe I do something wrong, but it seams that "Infill Before Walls" option hat no impact! With or without this option the infill will be print at first, than inner perimeter and at end out perimeter. Other problem is, why I actually try to user the option at all: when inner perimeter will be printed, the part of a hot end moves over an infill what makes terrible vibrations.
  13. Thank you for the answering. Top/bottom fill ... hm ... it's just a middle part of the object (on my first screenshot) it should be at least 2 or 3 cm till the Top.
  14. Hi, I have just a small question: I found a lot of posts with information how to change a hot end on UMO/UMO+ to (for example) E3D V6 . But I don't understand what the reason is? Is it general better as the standard hot end, more quality or something else? Thank you!
  15. Hi, people! I try to play a heard. It should have only two perimiters, top and bottom layers. But if I define Infill density as 0% ... Cura places some strange additional volumes (yellow lines) ... How is it possible to avoid such behavior?
  16. Hi, I assembled my UMO+ couple of weeks ago and found some extra plastic parts I have no idea how to use it. I read Assembling manual two times, but found nothing about these parts. Thank you in advance!
  17. I deleted all related folder which a could find and reinstall Cura 2.30 ... the problem is still exists (as soon I add and select new profile and close Cura) :(
  18. Let's continue 1) I selected "White" color, but the name was not changed - is still Generic. 2) Diameter in "mm3" - strange ...
  19. I undersend this and I hope the release version come soon and without such bugs. Because of that I use betta version and post some bugs I found.
  20. Yes, at first I installed Cura 2.1.3, then I deinstall it and installed Cura 2.3 ... and as a typical user I assume it should just work without something need to be clearing or some other magic staff.
  21. And of course something like this (just right now)
  22. Hi, how can I send you the log file (I found it )? And now I can reproduce this bag: just create or update a profile, close Cura Application, open Cura again - that's it - "Add new printer" window. 2016-09-05 20:47:19,182 - WARNING - UM/Settings/ContainerRegistry.pyc (load [188]): Could not determine container type for file /Users/Alex/.cura/machine_instances/Ultimaker+Original.cfg, ignoring 2016-09-05 20:47:19,183 - WARNING - UM/Settings/ContainerRegistry.pyc (load [188]): Could not determine container type for file /Users/Alex/.cura/machine_instances/Ultimaker+Original%2B+%232.cfg, ignoring 2016-09-05 20:47:19,578 - DEBUG - .../cura/plugins/MachineSettingsAction/MachineSettingsAction.py (_onContainerAdded [40]): Not attaching MachineSettingsAction to ultimaker_original_dual; Multi-extrusion printers are not supported 2016-09-05 20:47:19,974 - DEBUG - .../cura/plugins/MachineSettingsAction/MachineSettingsAction.py (_onContainerAdded [40]): Not attaching MachineSettingsAction to ultimaker2_extended_plus; Machines that use variants are not supported 2016-09-05 20:47:20,107 - DEBUG - .../cura/plugins/MachineSettingsAction/MachineSettingsAction.py (_onContainerAdded [40]): Not attaching MachineSettingsAction to ultimaker2_plus; Machines that use variants are not supported 2016-09-05 20:47:25,465 - ERROR - UM/Logger.pyc (logException [53]): Exception: Could not deserialize container Ultimaker Original+ 2016-09-05 20:47:25,465 - ERROR - UM/Logger.pyc (logException [53]): Traceback (most recent call last): 2016-09-05 20:47:25,465 - ERROR - UM/Logger.pyc (logException [53]): File "UM/Settings/ContainerRegistry.pyc", line 238, in load 2016-09-05 20:47:25,465 - ERROR - UM/Logger.pyc (logException [53]): File "UM/Settings/ContainerStack.pyc", line 252, in deserialize 2016-09-05 20:47:25,466 - ERROR - UM/Logger.pyc (logException [53]): Exception: When trying to deserialize, we received an unknown ID (ultimaker original+_normal quality 0) for container
  23. DaHai8, thank you for the explanation! Other strange Cura's 2.3 behavior on MAC OS X: sometimes Cura starts with "New Machine Assistant" and without my already added Printer. It really a little bit confusing because I need to change the Start/End GCode part each time it happens. Maybe you know how to solve this problem?
  24. Hi! I have some strange behavior on the GUI. I have changed "Infill Overlap Percentage" from the default value (10%) to 15% and saved in my profile. After some experiments I changed the value back to 10%. Now habe have to messages: if I press "i", the field value is still 10%, but now I have an other message was actually is wrong, because these is no different to my profile value or to the default value.
