  1. Thanks Nicolinux! I appreciate the help. I have pulled the board out twice since first installing it and checked every connection. They are all in the right places and they are tight. I also tried to do the factory reset. When I do the reset, and it starts the leveling process, as soon as I get to the point of turning the dial to move the base plate, the printer freezes and says I have an x y something or other failure and it locks up. I figured maybe I need to update the firmware, but I can't get Cura to recognize the printer so I'm stuck. :( Any other ideas? I feel like I've tried just about everything. Thanks!
  2. I just finally made it through the upgrade of UM2 to UM2+ with the ultimaker upgrade kit. I have triple checked all connections and they correct. When I finished the upgrade and turned on the printer, the head/bed did not move. I thought that was weird but figured it was the firmware. I installed the 2.1.3 version of Cura, tried to upgrade firmware and it get's stuck on "This might take awhile" dialog but the progress bar (blue) in the dialog constantly shows that it's done. I thought this might be a UI problem so I left it over night and it was still in the same state. I am doing this on a MACbook Pro running the latest OS and all updates. So, next I checked the hardware profile information on the MAC to make sure the USB was recognized and it shows the Ultimaker2 connected to the USB. WTF? I then tried to use the UM2 and move the head/bed manually. Each time I try to move anything I get a z switch or an xy switch failure warning and nothing moves. I also tried downloading printrun on the mac, but it also doesn't connect to the UM2. Please help as I'm running out of ideas here! I appreciate it!
