  1. Ok. But what about the idea of starting travels at infill lines?
  2. I've attached one produced by Cura 3.6 and one produced by Simplify3D. they are named appropriately. pfstand-cura.gcode pfstand-s3d.gcode
  3. Ok. I've recently started evaluating Simplify3D. I've used Cura for the past 2 yrs or so. One thing I noticed right off the bat was that Simplify3D has much fewer travels than Cura. And the travels appear to start from an interior wall. Consequently, I've noticed a big improvement in the surface quality of my prints. This got me thinking about the start position of travels. If the travels started from an infill line, then any defects due to nozzle oozing and imperfect retraction settings would be "hidden" in the infill, leading to an "apparently" better print. Is it possible control the travel start position in Cura? Thanks! Joo
  4. I just wanted to share my first post processing script. Its a Skew Compensation script. I've posted it on Thingiverse... https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3050059 I know the newer versions of Marlin will do skew compensation, but not every printer uses marlin and some people don't like to mess with firmware. Plus... using g-code visualizers, you can see the skew compensation in action.
  5. Does anyone know if there is a way to set the line width for the 1st layer in Cura 2.3? thanks! Joo
