Thank you for the reply and the information. Being my first foray into 3D printing I was unaware, but learning-by-screw-up is kind of my signature. Ended up uninstalling Cura 2.3.1 and installing 15.04.2 that came with the printer and was able to import and slice away. As familiarity with the tools comes, the process will undoubtedly become more streamlined, but for now working is good enough.

Just getting my feet wet with 3D printing and learning a great deal with so much more to learn. Recently picked up a Monoprice Select Mini printer and got it configured well enough for a print of the included model. Since Cura didn't list my printer, and I haven't learned all the nuances of creating one, I decided to just use the SD card for now and import the gcode from the working example, but Cura was displeased with my offering. While the cat is cute, I can't help but think the printer has more potential. Do I need to change the gcode before importing?
