  1. Hello Everyone,

I was wondering to ask if anyone tried printing Ultimaker Airplane. When I was trying to enter the values for the top/bottom speed. My cura says it is unable to slice. However, the settings from ultimaker were:

    Quality

    Initial layer thickness 0

    Initial layer line width 100

    Speed

    Travel speed 170

    Bottom layer speed 15

    Infill speed 0

    Top/bottom speed 0

    Outer shell speed 0

    Inner shell speed 0

    Minimum layer time 10

I have attached an image which shows the problem I'm facing while entering these values. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  2. stringing is often cured by lowering the print head temperature, strange that it starts  only towards the top (cant see the inside of the front part, but I assume its there too)

maybe you could try dropping the temp by say 5 degrees - you could use the 'Tweak at Z plugin' so you don't have to sit and wait to make the change

Many thanks for your response. I tried reducing temperature, but no luck ! However, I'll try to use the 'Tweak at Z plugin'.

  3. Did you try to take the bowden tube off the feeder and then pull on the material? You may have to heat the nozzle to get it loosened enough to let go.

Other than that, I am not sure what would dissolve PLA.

    Hi,

Thank you for your response. I tried the same method as pulling the bowden tube off the feeder as I did it to the nozzle head, but the tube doesn't seem to come off. Is there a way to remove the tube off the feeder?

  4. Hi everyone,

I am currently facing issues with a tall object of 135mm height and 30mm thick. The part falls down when it reaches to the top level. Do anyone have any advice in regards how to print the tall object without falling down. I used brim and raft, but both doesn't work.

    Many thanks in advance.

  5. Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbie to 3D printing. I've tried printing small marvin key chain, but i faced problems when i was using support structure. Based on the talk forum, I changed my settings and tried printing it without support marvin.thumb.jpg.7b124954f0a0cf4e3ab4c11295e1bf04.jpgstructure. The first marvin on your left hand side was printed without support. Rest of them were with support.

    First marvin settings:

    Layer height :0.2mm

    Infill Density : 30%

    Shell : default

    Print speed : 20 mm/s

    Travel speed : default

    No support

    Brim

    Cura 2.3.1

Please rate the print quality . Also, I'd love to take suggestions if i can improve the print quality. Many thanks in advance.

    Cheers

    Vik
