I wouldn't say that I am pro TAZ6, because I currently have 1 ultimaker 3 and 1 more on the way. This is after getting rid of a Prusa i3 MK2 and Rostock Max V2. However if you do go that route it looks like they are doing a sale on them in the US, and I would assume the same would go for distributors in Australia.

I noticed on 3.5 if I remove the thumb drive to load a print to it, when reinserting the thumb drive the printer would detect it, however with 3.6 I need to turn the UM3 off and back on. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I am new to Cura and the Ultimaker 3, but I am noticing when using Cura the nozzle is leaving marks on the top of a print. I don't seem to have the same issue using the default Simplify3D profile. I am using the default PLA profile in Cura, using the 0.15mm layer height for the print. Should I be changing any settings to fix this?

There is an Ultimaker 3 support group on facebook and a few people had similar issues. It looks like Ultimaker switched from the white blocks to black blocks and I haven't seen anyone have any issues with the black blocks. I manually leveled the bed, and also do an auto level before each print but I am noticing the nozzle is closer to the bed in the right front (as I am facing the printer). Any tips to fix this?

Is there a way to change the currency for the filament cost?

I just came across your post. Are you still using S3D for the UM3? I have been debating trying it instead of Cura for slicing.

Does anyone have have an issue when using printcore 2 and slicing with Cura 2.4, that after priming the nozzle the printhead lowers and drags the filament across the printbed? If so, have you found a way to stop this from happening?

When I use Cura with the UM3 to slice a multilayer print I notice when the printer primes the second nozzle it drops the nozzle down into the filament and then drags the filament across the print bed. Is there any way to avoid this?

Is it possible to change the colors associated with extruder 1 and extruder 2? I would like to get more contrast instead of two similar yellows.

It is a setting under the G-Code tab in the process. I think it is used to set unprintable areas of the printbed, but I haven't tried it out myself.

@fabreax Does setting origin offsets help with the bed area and the unprintable areas?

Are you able to use the full build area in the S3D Ultimaker 3 profile, or does it not account for the unprintable areas the way cura 2.4 does?

On my other 3d printer I use octoprint to manage prints and save g-code that I can print when needed since I do a lot of the same prints over and over. Is there a way to have a similar setup with the Ultimaker 3, either using octoprint or by using the built in UM3 features?

Sounds good. Maybe I'll give Cura a try. I have S3D but it won't download new profiles and it's been over two weeks with no response from support so I haven't been able to get the UM3 profile. If they are fairly similar in results it may not be with the hassle to get them to get it working.

I am thinking about getting an ultimaker 3, and I currently use Simplify3d for my prusa i3 mk2. For those who have used both slicer, what do you think is the best between the two. I would go right for S3D but I am currently getting an error when downloading new config files.

I keep getting an error saying "unable to download profiles" when trying to select the ultimaker 2 extended, 2+ extended and UM3. Could someone export the profiles and attach them so I can add them to Simplify3d. I have tried contacting support but it's been almost a month and I still can't download the profiles. Thank you in advance for your help.

I'm also making a similar decision to your's OP, I would be interested to see what you decide on.
