  1. This is what I thought. The Ultimaker is in my Home Lab Room. Where since there are plenty of servers... also is an AC which climates this room to about 16-18 C so I guess this also did an impact and it was on a metal shelf which since it was not so thick but stable... was because of the head movement of the Ultimaker able to vibrate or get swinging a little. I change both. AC now to 20C and replaced the shelf with a strong wooden one. No vibration or swining possible. Seams that this solved the hairy / fraying prints. Thanks a lot guys for your help
  2. @gr5: thanks for the link to dim3nsioneer. If I would have known this company before I bought like 400$ of filament from 3dware . Yes, I ment this very small hairlike strings. Which like @kmanstudios said are very easy to remove and I guess they do not even actually interfere with the print or print quality... Its strange that in the beginning I did not have them and now I got them. Same filament... I printed the makerbot gnome and it came out flawless no hairstrings nothing @dim3nsioneer: thanks a lot for the link. I think I need to contact you anyway since digitec is not able to provide me with a 3d solex hardcore pro... delivery is like since 3 weeks always on the next day :-(
  3. Hi there, This is my first post. I hope I do everything correctly :-) Anyway I am really enjoying my new ultimaker 3 and I have printed already many things with the original silver filament that came with it. But know I changed to some other filament I was able to buy. Since in switzerland they are not selling the ultimaker 3 filaments. So I found Dutch Filaments reselled from 3dware. I bought several diffrent colors. And did some test prints. Many of the prints where ok or even good. But lately it started to give me fraying as you can see on the pictures. Any Idea why? Thanks for your help guys. Cheers, Yves
