  1. I've been reading other posts from here and other forums about the use of this SD card. without Hardware or Firmware modification I got the Wi-Fi to boot properly. I plugged the SD card into the slot and the Wi-Fi does not work. This is because the firmware shuts down the Wi-Fi capability unless you write a file to the SD card. This is where pronterface comes to play. When using the commands M28 fileName.g ; This will open a file M29; this will close the file and save it to the SD Card once I use those commands the Wi-Fi starts booting properly. You may ask why do I want to have Wi-Fi SD cards? or why am I connecting through USB? this is because in the Makerspace that I work we want to avoid users manipulating SD cards because most likely the SD card slot will break (this is a space where we have 20+ printers and the traffic is over 100+ people per week) hence SD card Wi-Fi or USB connectivity. I understand the problem with USB printing when the computer decides to shut down, it will kill the print. In short is has anyone gotten their Toshiba SD card working on their Ultimakers? if so what have you guys done? I also accepts other ideas to make printing easy for the users. This is the current criteria for what we want 5 printers connected per computer. we want to avoid users touching the SD cards we want it to be slice, send file to SD card or USB and print, change printer for the next job to load. any ideas?
