OK, I deleted the 3.1 folder from the '/home/.local/share/cura' folder and 3.1 started but did not import the profile from 3.0.4. as reported in another post.

Same issue with 64bit Linux version! Even re-down loaded it in case the first was corrupted, result, the same. Version 3.0.4 still works, mine is on the same drive and folder as the latest down load. Also in 3.0.4 the pop up button for downloading the lated version does not respond also doesn't work for opening a saved file. The report a bug button doesn't work either! KDE Neon 5.11
