Very much new to CURA and 3D printing. Here is my problem. In the current version of Cura 3.3.1 my initial layer of any raft has become messy. This seems to be a new occurrence and I initially figured it was the bed leveling (Monoprice Maker Ultimate). But after leveling a few times and posting a question to the facebook forum it turns out that this is not a new situation and has been reported before. One suggestion was to go back to an earlier version of CURA (3.0.4 Mac).
I did this as a test and the problem is gone (Great!) but it begs the question as to why this is an issue in 3.3.1? As a software development project manager and Scrum Master I have an issue using software that that far back fearing that by using the older software I am missing out on other refinements made in the software that won't cause other issues and even bigger issues (No I have scoured the release notes for all of the versions between 3.0.4 and 3.3.1...at least not yet).
Has anyone found a solution to this problem in 3.3.1?

Pic1 and Pic 2 are the same exact file, no changes to bed leveling between the prints. The only difference is pic1 is from 3.0.4 and pic2 is 3.3.1 (same print settings as well).
