  1. I know that it is not recommended to print with ninja flex on the Ultimaker 3, but I know that it is possible. What should I do in order to print successfully with this material?
  2. So what your saying is print the positive space of the model out of PVA and the negative space and box outside out of PLA to make a mold, then dissolve the PVA? I'm having a hard time visualizing what you are saying but this is what it sounds like. Wouldn't that make any PLA surrounded by PVA be left without support when the PVA dissolves?
  3. We need to 3d print realistic organ models and wanted to use silicone as a material. Has anyone got the paste extruder to work well with PVA supports? We need to make complicated structures with overhangs. Molds are out of the question because we are using a CT or MRI scan to create the model.

  5. I know ultimaker brand materials have a sensor chip or something that recognizes the material when you put in the spool. If you use nonultimaker brand filament to print will there be any downsides other than having to manually input the material?
  6. I think we are going to go with the mold because we need the material to closely resemble human tissue.
  7. I need to print models of a kidney and bladder which would require flexible material. Is it possible to use something with 85A like ninja flex in the Ultimaker 3?
  8. Ninjaflex is 85A I think. Would it really not work if I tried to use it?
  9. Thanks, we originally wanted to use silicone but found that 3d printing out of it wasn't possible.
  10. Not sure which product would suit my needs best. I am a research student who has been tasked with 3d printing multiple organ models out of flexible materials. If someone could give me the benefits and drawbacks of each that would be great.
  11. Will any Ultimaker products print with Ninjaflex? I've heard that the Ultimaker 3 has problems when you try to use flexible filaments. Can the s5 or 2 print with flexible materials? If so which would be best?
