  1. I am having problems with the second print head dislodging (falling off) from the first print head when it travels towards the back of the print bed. I believe it is due to the tension from the curve in the bowden tube that pushes the second print head forward. The bowden tube is what came with the upgrade kit and is approximately 65cm long. I have already replaced the magnets with stronger ones than called for. Do I need to get a longer bowden tube or does anybody have any other ideas of how to fix this problem. Thank you
  2. Thanks for the suggestion I will see what I can figure out. As far as the printhead I ordered it from here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Blurolls-Ultimaker-2-3d-printer-hot-end-full-kit-aluminum-1-75-3mm-Olsson-block-and/32761561574.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.521e4c4dOZEAWG.
  3. Here are pictures of the connections. If you need more I can definitely do that. None of the fans on printhead 1 (hotend and model fans) are turning on. The hotend cooling fan of printhead 2 does turn on though. I have been trying to print a small bottle base with only printhead 1. I have not attempted any dual printed items yet. Thank you for the help.
  4. I have been working on the Mark2 upgrade to my UM2 and have got most of the kinks worked out. My current problem is that the cooling fans will not come on for printhead 1. The cooling fan comes on for printhead 2 though. I am using the Mark 2 expansion board. I checked all connections and they seem fine. No wires are pinched or damaged that I can see. Any advice that you could give me on what to do next is appreciated.
  5. I am trying to complete the Mark2 upgrade on a Ultimaker 2. I installed two new Bondtech QR extruders, new printheads and expansion board. I believe I have all the physical parts of the upgrade completed but am now trying to update the firmware. I am running Cura 3.4. As indicated on the Mark2 site I have done the following: Download the Mark2 firmware from github. Connect you printer via USB. In Cura, select "Manage printers" -> "Upgrade firmware" -> "Upload custom firmware". However once I locate the file hex file and push update it brings up the updating firmware window, disconnects the printer and sits there. What am I doing wrong? Also when the printhead tries to home the fan runs into the right side of the printer and tells me the x/y switch is broke. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thank you
