Had a few things coming in between but anyway I got simplify3d and the issue is gone. thanks for the help.

Dear all, I became pretty frustrated when I tried to slice my bed leveleling test square. it is a 50 by 50 mm modeled in fusion, extruded to my initial layer height (.3 mm), and exported as .STL. When I open the file in Cura (using 3.4.1) it shows normally in the solid view. Then when I slice it and go to layer view it makes it into some rectangle with a kind of staircase layering. also the skirt is off. The video should be pretty clear. Other models I load into cura slice perfectly normal. So if this is a problem with the .STL, does anyone know what it might be? Thanks to anyone taking the time to reply.
