  1. Sorry for the Delay. With Christmas coming up, I have been busy. I loaded the config folder up, and it looks good so far. I look forward to checking out the improvements since 3.4.1. Thank you.
  2. I did what you asked. It didn't work. I would have been surprised if it did work this time, as I was asked to do the same for version 3.5.0 and 3.5.1.
  3. OK, that's fine. but what bothered me until now is that no one said anything about what's going on. Just radio silence, for two months. Is there any other way to transfer the settings? Like an import function.
  4. Can no one figure out this problem? I first posted about this October 3rd (Cura 3.5.0). Two months... I don't think it's that complex a problem.
  5. Any update in this problem? Been a while... Since version 3.5.0
  6. I have the same problem with Cura 3.6 as I did with 3.5.0 and 3.5.1. It doesn't import any settings or profiles from Cura 3.4.1 I have posted on here (three times now) for the previous version, but no one seemed interested in solving my problem. Every person that has shown some interest, just asks for my log file and then never responds again ever... So here is the log file, again. cura.log
  7. I have the same problem as with 3.5.0, when I install the new version it doesn't import my printer, material or profile settings from 3.4.1. I mentioned in the "New Cura 3.5" thread, but since the problem is still here in 3.5.1 and that other thread is so long, I made a new topic. Below is the last step I tried for 3.5.0. I have since uninstalled 3.5.0 and installed 3.5.1 and even tried the steps below on the new version. Not working. I still have 3.4.1 installed and am using that, since it has all my setup. I tried this. It did it's setup thing, but still the same as last time. It didn't import anything. It just has the default printer settings, materials and profiles. Not my settings, materials and profiles.
  8. Although I am not using 3.5.0 (due to a bug in importing my profiles); with a background in industrial PLC programming, I can appreciate the hard work and complexity that goes into making a program like this. Especially a program that is offered for free. If you are unhappy enough, you can buy Simplify3D. Thanks for the hard work.
  9. I tried this. It did it's setup thing, but still the same as last time. It didn't import anything. It just has the default printer settings, materials and profiles. Not my settings, materials and profiles.
  10. Yeah, must of mixed it up. Here's the other directory. Roaming.cura.James777.zip
  11. I was out of town for a bit, but I am back now. Here is the cura directory with both versions. As i mentioned before; I did try to copy the definitions from 3.4.1 to 3.5.0. That is why there is a backup of the original 3.5.0 directory. I did this trick to copy my settings from my laptop to my desktop installations of cura a few weeks back which worked great. I thought it might work for 3.5.0. cura James777.zip
  12. OK thanks. Cura 3.4.1 is running fine for me, so I don't know why there would be a problem transferring the settings to 3.5.0. I may have had a Adafruit Circuit Python Express (microcontroller) plugged into COM 5 (USB) at the time. It currently has an intermittent communication error which I have been troubleshooting off and on for the last week. I am not sure how that would affect CURA though.
  13. Here is the log file for 3.5.0. The install did select my printer but only with the default setup. I had modified it including changing several things in the start and stop gcode and had a second modified version of the printer setup. I did start installing some plugins, but when I realized I would have to edit all the profiles, printer settings that I had tweeked etc, I stopped. cura.log In the meantime I am still using 3.4.1, as it never uninstalled (or asked to uninstall) the previous version.
  14. I have been using Cura 3.4.1 for two months. I installed 3.5.0 when prompted, but none of my profiles, materials or printer setup is in the new version. I tried the backup/restore plug in. No Good. I tried copying the definitions folder from 3.4.1 to 4.5.0. No Good. ?
