The 3.5.1 beta works fine for me! The problem with loading .stl files under Win10 from external drives is resolved. Tested with a VeraCrypt partion and a normal USB stick. No crashes anymore.

Drag and Drop from external drive crashes (VeraCrypt Partion and normal USB-Stick), Drag and Drop from normal Harddisk works fine.

@rburema you got it ? Loading from a normal harddrive works, loading from external drive not. In my case it was the VeraCrypt part of the harddisk. For Win it is a external drive.

This is one example of a .stl file that will not load. The xyz-Cube: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1278865 First i open Cura. Then i click the file open icon. Go to the file. Click the File. Click Open .. Crash. I load the .stl, .obj, .gcode files. No one will load on this way. If i load it direct from thingverse with Firefox, without storing the file. It loads the model. Cura 3.5.0 crashes on every model file that I want to load. Selfmade .stl and .stl from thingiverse. Selfmade .obj Curamade .gcode Always crash without error messages. The Cura Window goes away. System Windows 10 with Nvidia 1070, All drivers are up-to-date. Delete config files has no efect. Cura 3.4.1 works fine. cura.log
