Printer: Creality CR-10 stock everything.
Hey, Im pretty new to printing, and even newer yet to here, but Ive been having a predicament throughout this whole weekend. I was running the previous version of Cura up until about saturday night. I sliced a model with the the previous version of cura on friday and printed it out of Hatchboxe's Black PLA. After the print was done saturday morning I realized I had to tweak some stuff in the CAD no printing errors or anything, and in process decided to update cura, adjusted all my settings per normal, and set it to PETG this time (235 nozzle, 80 on bed, .2 mill initial, .1 mill after that, retraction at 1.5 mills 70 mm/s, 100% infill, and obviously part cooling). Rediculous amount of stringing right off the gate, and I sat there for about 7 hours stopping the print and reloading a tweaked version of the settings to no avail. Now, ive never used Solutechs Transluscent Blue PETG before, so I figured that was just it. So, I swapped to my PLA from Hatchbox, and absolutely stringing everywhere. Ive never had a single problem at all ever with stringing with Hatchboxes PLA, even before i had the temps dialed in (206 on nozzle, 64 on bed, .1 mill for everything, and same retraction speed). Now, a friend of mine just bought his Ender 3, using only the updated version of Cura, and he has the exact same problem with stringing with the same exact Hatchbox Black PLA, and it made me think that its the 3.5.1 update.
TL;DR: 3.5.1 might be causing a metric buttload of stringing. Its the only thing I can think that it is. Any advice? I want to pull my hair out.
