I installed the latest Ver.20181214. The release note speak to Cura 4.0 UI. Does that mean that a new Version of Cura is available? Or will be soon. Is there a beta test available?

When I uncheck a box in the Setting Visibility window and the setting has a value in it when I uncheck it, what happens to that value?

Hi smartavionics, I just installed your latest build and am printing a model that last night I aborted because the infill action made me think that my brand new S5 was going to shake itself to pieces! How can I keep track of your updates? I attached the 2 files that I am dealing with. My question is could I have achieved what you did with the current version to get rid of the wiggle infill( if that is what it is). Do you see any other settings that I could improve on? This symbol is appearing at the end of most option selections. I have no idea what it is. Anybody Know?

Smithy, I just noticed a small black square with 2 circular arrows and a red line thru it. What is it? It's at the end of some menu items Disregard.... its the Cura settings plug in

Where can I find the actual settings that are used for (Recommended) V3.6

Can you somehow send G Code commands directly to the S5? Not while printing. What G code is for auto leveling? Can it be skipped if you alter the print file? What is the difference between a AA core and a BB core, they look the same. Has any designed a holder for extra cores?

Absolutely!!! I was just ready for a change and a larger X-Y print volume for architectural prints. I wish Ultimaker used Duet boards! I miss my 7" screen. Thanks again for the help

I uninstalled and reinstalled 3.6 and it is working. what about this configuration message? did I miss something when I loaded the material? Can I chose a color on the printer

UPDATE: Cura 3.5.1 works as expected. however I have loaded the rolls that came with the S5 Black Tough PLA and PVA. The file is asking for a configuration change to Black Tough PLA. I don't see that color option when I load the printer, it only has listed the type of filament not color??? I am now going to reinstall 3.6 and try again. Stay Tuned

smartavionics This is my 1st Ultimaker. I have 2 CubeX printers converted to Duet boards and only used S3D. I am using Windows 10 on a brand new Alienware desktop. I again have tried to save to USB in both formats (ufp and gcode) I ejected the stick and both files when plugged into the S5 show up with the warning "something wrong with the file" I'm going to uninstall and reinstall Cura 3.6. or should I try 3.5.1? S3D works fine. UMS5_finetune.3mf

I received my S5, I cant print from Cura 3.6 either on USB or Network. I can print from S3D on the USB using .gcode file format and I can print the sample files on the USB that came with the unit in .ufp format. I have tried to save my file as .ufp and .gcode on to the USB but when I put it in the printer a warning message states "something wrong with the file" I know there is a known bug with the network. What am I missing???

Great to hear Smithy, I also have a Form 2 and there was alot of negative comments on that printer as well from just a limited few. I have had nothing but great prints. Just want to cover my bases.

I have a GRM glass heatbed on my CubeX/Duet conversion. I use Kapton tape 8"wide. I apply it like window tint with glass cleaner and a squeegee. I let it set for a couple of hours before use. I then use a glue stick. EVERYTHING sticks, yes even ABS. To remove the part I spray a bit of glass cleaner around the base and the part comes right off. The kapton tape is good for a bunch of prints if you move them around the build platform. As a side note. I was all set to purchase a S5 until I read the comments on this forum. Not sure what to do now. I have 2 CubeX/Duet printers that are just getting tired (still creating great prints with Simp3D) I'm looking for a change.
