    I fixed the problem. I deleted the settings profile that I was using and made a new settings profile. Now everything works fine.

    I have just installed Cura 3.6 and now when I try to slice an object regardless if I use my own or the recommended settings, when I click prepare, I get a message saying unable to slice. I am using windows 10. I never had this issue with any previous versions of cura.
