  1. "The center is NOT (0,0). The lower left corner is. The only printers that have 0,0 in the center are delta printers. Google what a delta printer is if you are not familiar. They have round build plates, not square or rectangular. " Actually, when I have an object at the center, it does show a position of "0,0,0"... picture included to show what I'm saying. I don't say this to be argumentative, I'm just including this in case it's a piece of the puzzle of what's going on.
  2. Thank you for your reply, gr5. I found the setting, checked the box, and sliced again. Unfortunately, I had the same result; the print head slides to the right until it reaches the stops, and keeps on trying to go in that direction until it gives up after about 30 seconds. I can successfully print the files that came with the printer, so I know the printer is working. It's just the files I try to make with Cura that cause problems.
  3. Hello, all. I've been successfully using Cura with an Anet A8. I've just put together an Anet ET5 X. There is a profile for it in Cura, which I chose. However, when I import a file, it is initially placed in the far lower left hand corner (XYZ coordinates at -149, 150, 0). I move the file to the center of the build area (0,0,0) and slice. When I try to print the file, the print head seems to be trying to position itself outside its limits. After several seconds it gives up and tells me the print is done. Is there a problem with this profile? Should I be changing something else in my setup? Any help given will be greatly appreciated.
