  1. You can expand the profile list downward now, but then it blocks the dialogs at the bottom. Also, in preview mode, this panel sits in between the model and the layer slider, instead of all the way to the right where it would be out of the way.
  2. I have to admit that when I first started printing, I hated Cura. It was too obscure, with all the hidden settings. Was there a reason the settings were hidden? Were some bad to use? etc. etc. I shelled out the bucks for Simplify 3D and though it was just great at first. It has some simply stupid issues features that seemed backwards for such an expensive product, but everything was there, and I was able to learn about everything quickly. Then I went back to Cura and realized how much easier it was to use and how much more powerful it seemed. I now use it exclusively. Sure, there's some specific use cases where S3D has the upper hand, but they haven't been an issue for me. That said, I'd love to see improvements in support work, and especially in process masking (my term) defining an area for different processing is great, but only a square shape isn't good enough for example. Bottom line is that I"m hoping for features, not improvements in looks. 🙂
  3. I would take it as a compliment that users care about the product that passionately. Feedback is important to any project, and you have to be able to take the good with the bad.
  4. A friend pointed this out to me. Cura performs it's starting Gcode and then resets the extruder. Then it does a retract for whatever retraction value is set in the profile. For me I never probably never noticed because it's only 1mm. My friend has a 7.5mm retraction and is noticing a lag while it comes back into the nozzle. Does anyone know how to stop this other than editing the gcode? I'm curious why it would do this if anyone knows. Thanks.
  5. +1 to the sidebar creator. The original UI was perfect in it's simplicity and functionality IMHO. The new one seems to be different for the sake of being different, and takes away space. This sidebar plugin is fantastic!
  6. I'm not clear on what major changes have occured with V4, but the UI seems to be a step backwards to me. My biggest sticking point is the profile menu on the right. in V3.6 it uses the entire vertical space, but I can't see a way to make V4 do this.
