  1. I really love the autolevelling of my S5. But still, hasn't anyone made a plugin or something that makes the S5 (etc) skip the autolevelling, sometimes when printing a few very small parts after each other it wouldn't be needed and could save a big portion of the time.
  2. Yes, I would also like to have this feature, it would be great.
  3. Same problem here, No models in file when trying to open a 3mf from Makerworld
  4. Hi I noticed two things today. First I noticed that the actual buildplate on my S5 is quite a bit larger than the indicated bed size in Cura. Then I noticed the maximum practical bed size that Cura will allow for an item to be sliceable, is 326 x236 mm, vs the specified area 330 x 240 mm. Did anyone try to expand the bed size in cura and use the extra space at the perimeter? If so, how much and how did it work out?
  5. Actually what I ment, but I see now was not clear, is that I had forgotten to turn on the visibility of this option, so it was not even visible in the Print settings window. The fact that it is not showed by default even when One at a time is selected, makes it hard to figure out the options is available. It should at least be showed by default if One at a time is selected.
  6. Like you say One-at-a-time isn't available unless Extruder 2 is disabled. Hence, I have disabled extruder 2. ;) I had missed to turn on the Special Modes selection of Setting print sequence manually. Now it works! Thanks! That option, to turn on and off that setting and having it off as default, is a little bit over-engineered IMO. Once One-at-a-time is selected those menu options in the object list could just be un-greyed. And always be there but greyed in other cases. That will also help everyone find out the options is there, too. Thanks for your help! Much appreciated!
  7. I have now downloaded and testet 5.7.0-beta.1 The objects list is there. But unfortunately I do not get these alternatives in the drop down menu inside the objects list.
  8. Ok, Great thanks! It used to work the way I described. I've done it many times.
  9. Hi I print many parts in one go with the printer. Almost always I use "One at a time". I want to control in which order the items are printed, so I can optimize how many items I can fit onto the bed in one go. This didn't use to be any problem, as Cura printed them in the order I had loaded or copied them. But today I noticed in the version I am running now, Cura decided its own order regardless, and if I noted in what order Cura printed the items, and reordered them on the print bed and re-sliced, Cura re-ordered the print order, so now I cannot set the order in which the items are printed and place them on the print bed accordingly. Or can I? and if so, how? If this cannot be done anymore, it's a huge degradation for those of us who print many items in one go. I am using the latest version, 5.6.0
  10. WHAT ON EARTH? After I got the serial working I saw the lines And when I checked the printer screen, it says Pull me backwards, as we say in Swedish. It seems obvious to me just hooking up the serial port got it to recover properly. Very strange. Well, what do you know, finally my printer is back up. Thank you to those of you who have contributed with how-to-recover-info, especially @gr5
  11. EDIT: Never mind this post. This was a little bit dangerous, I didn't notice I had the serial interface set to 5V, but the Olimex survived. Getting proper data now. --- Ok, carrying on, hooked up the serial port at 115200 8N1 but I am only getting garbage, like I am at the wrong speed. Tried several other speeds, but no luck.
  12. Does those two recovery images contain the boot.scr file? Is it just to insert the SD-card and turn the printer on to install the recovery image, or are any other measures required to install the recovery image? EDIT: Ok, so I found the 6.1.1 recovery file. Here's my situation While updating from 5.7.2 on my S5R1 the update got stuck at "2 minutes remaining". Now, if I just turn the printer on, it displays the Ultimaker logo, then after a while shows a black screen, turn the light on and shows the Ultimaker logo again and gets stuck. If I insert the recovery.img or the 5.7.3 recovery image, the same thing happens. If I inser the 6.1.1 or 6.2.2 recovery images, the S5 first shows the Linux (penguin) logo for a while, then the Ultimaker logo, and then it pops back into the "installing firmare, 2 minutes remaining" screen and gets stuck there. I'm a bit surprised here, I would have expected a recovery image to boot from the SD-card and install the recovery image. Any advice on how to go on from here would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
  13. Hi How do I get my S5 to understand that it is not part of a group, so that I can connect to it with Cura? Don't know why this has happened now, have used it with Cura before without any problems. Well, without this particular problem... Thanks!
  14. It's the same problem over and over again, and Ultimaker doesn't seem to care at all about their expensive trash not even having a working WiFi connectivity. Again today my S5 refuses connection with Cura, even though it shows up on the network and in the available printers list with the correct IP in settings, hitting Connect brings it up in Cura for a second and then it disappears again. Extremely poor of Ultimaker they cannot fix this known issue!
  15. Unfortunately Ultimaker machines have become really user unfriendly. This is just another example of that.
