Hi All,
First time poster! We just recently purchased an Ultimaker 2+ to supplement our current set of 2 cheap amazon printers. (XYZ Davinci 1.0 Pro's)
We figured it was time to step up to the "big leagues" and try a semi-professional printer, before we purchased one of the big boys (S5).
Our first issue was a bad board on day 1. Printer wouldn't even start up. I was shipped a new board and now it starts. We attempted the Ultimaker Robot with the provided PLA and after tweaking and tuning a ton of settings we are able to print a headless robot. At first it was grinding, we seem to have that under control, now it is skipping and underextruding. I have cleaned, atomic method, adjusted temps. I am at about 15 failed robot prints... I tried the coffin, but to no avail. I removed the feeder and cleaned it, all plastic gears, roller bearing with groove, and the knurled feeder all looked good. I have tried tension adjustments from low to high, and yet I get skipping within a few layers then no extrusion at all.
We also received 4 free spools of filament with our order, all of which were clear nylon... We tried with this filament with the same result.
I don't know what to do. How do I get flawless prints out of my $300 printers with all kinds of materials (different makers also), but cannot get anything with this higher quality printer, not even a canned test print?
I usually am responding to these posts to help but I am at a loss...
Thanks all.
