  1. You will not find help here, we have had the issue open in the cura GitHub for quite some time.
  2. Unfortunately you will not find help here. We have had the issue open on the cura GitHub for quite some time.
  3. None of the cloud features work at all. Does anyone have a list of which features are actually meant to work? The ultimaker account online is totally sparse...
  4. I think its problematic that UM printer specific features i.e. connect cloud - are now integrated into the open source project. The S5 presumably has such a price tag to include support ( actually working ) for these features i.e. (it was certainly advertised that way). I am not trying to be fussy, but being able to see Ultimakers flagship printer on Ethernet in Cura seems like it should be working; especially since its so annoying for the workflow of the machine. I think CURA is fantastic, its just a shame to see these Ultimaker S5 issues...
  5. The github issue is not mine, I had no idea that there was such separation of support.
  6. The issue has been in github for sometime... https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/5477
  7. I also have this issue and have not had any response from ultimaker.
  8. Can we please get acknowledgement of this? It is extremely frustrating in shared environments.
  9. Can anyone shed some light on why cura constantly forgets the IP of a wired networked S5? I have to manually add it every time I start cura in order for it to network and pull the current printer config. Also the cloud cura connect features do not work at all - no printers are ever found. Can someone list what features are actually meant to work via cloud? The web interface on the printer locally and the ultimaker account online show little or no detail.
  10. My Ultimaker S5 is also printing too close to the bed, I just damaged a glass print bed because tough PLA had fused to the glass with a very squashed first layer. Also, none of the cloud connect features work at all. Apart from getting the success toast I still have to manually add the IP of the printer locally every single time and none of the features work remotely via the cloud at all.
  11. I just gave the .gcode file a valid header from another print. This seems to have allowed the file to be loaded and leveling occured, along with the "print" of the 2 M commands starting. When I cycled the print core in and out it after it finished it gave a max temp error. (The printer seemed to ignore the temp setting in the .gcode header). After a power cycle the core is still not correctly named.
  12. I just tried the various .gcode files and the S5 will not use it. It shows the file on the USB drive but does not allow you to run it stating "Something is wrong with this file". So no fix for S5 users,
  13. Hello, Here are some results with CPE on a S5; bad stringing or is this usual? Also it looks like the infil is not fully bridging. Any tips would be great. AA 0.8, BB 0.4 0.2mm layer height, simple profile, 50% infil.
  14. This is very interesting thanks for the info. No BB 0.8 on that webpage though; but logic would dictate: M151 T0 A8 D7800000000004242 M151 T0 A16 D20302E3800000000 I will try this tomorrow.
  15. I have had no luck getting the cloud features to work. The printer and cura both successfully displayed login PIN and cura displays a "now connected!" toast, but no printer appears and monitoring is blank with "make sure your printer is connected" even though the printer is running a job and connected to a network. Can you confirm that the printers network just needs web ports in order to work?
  16. Hello, My new ultimaker S5 registered a BB 0.8 core as AA 0.8 and thus refuses to load PVA. Can anyone point me towards how to re-program the core through the I2C? Thanks!
  17. I would also like to say that I am disappointed about the result of the aluminium build plate. Many people still assume that it is coming, I am frequently asked about it for the S5. More information about glass build plate distribution would also be great, I have not had any information since registering recently. It would be very nice to see different build surfaces appear, comparable to other machines.
