  1. oh forgot to mention my printer is a CR10S Pro with a .4mm nozzle
  2. Hi all, so i've managed to get my printer working and I did a few test prints however while i'm happy with the results of the top layer anything I print thats supported just ends up being really messy and pretty ruined, I though i could fix it by ironing each layer but honestly it didn't fix the issue, I'm just not sure what i'm doing wrong on this, can anyone help please? btw i'm not sure if there's a quicker way to show cura settings so i've taken screenshots Printout
  3. I know its a month old but I managed to solve this issue, it turns out that while the CR10S Pro is supposed to be fitted with a .4mm and 2mm nozzle my amazon bought printer came with something waaaay different, i think my default was at least .8mm and my smaller being .5 or .6mm hence why I was having such bad gaps in my prints, I just ordered some new nozzles to check and its sorted most of my issues out (i did have to redo my bed level) pic as evidence (left is default, right is newest) https://imgur.com/h3Jj6fX
  4. Can't say I heard popping and i watch the initial layer being put down and it always seems alright until i lift it off.
  5. I see, I've tried it with Simplfy3d and had much better results, I did try it with the ironing mode on however and these are kinda thin so not sure.
  6. Hey guys, I'm having a bit of trouble with my printer, I recently managed to fudge my printer up a bit and had to move onto a spare 0.2mm nozzle I had with my CR10S pro, however I'm getting mixed but consistent under extrusion, the top of my prints also have holes in them which I was hoping ironing would fix but it seems connected to the holes and I can't seem to work out whats causing it, can anyone help me out please, thanks. 7. Hi all, sorry if posting twice not sure if i posted it in the right place the first time (copy paste time!) I'm a newbie to 3d printing and while i've had a few successful abeit simple (minimal supports) prints i've come to find that for reason i can't quite get cura to generate supports that touch the model, some supports do touch however they're few and far between, i've watched a few videos and messed around with rotation but it doesn't seem to want to connect the supports, can anyone lend a helping hand please. some details, I have a CS10S Pro using cura 4.0.0 I haven't added any extentions (not sure how or what i need) and my printer can print overhangs quite nicely (found that out when i tried a model and the floating supports floated onto the model, the model is https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3501926 with a slight modification to the arm for posing. 8. I've been using hairspray and found it works really well at coverage, not sure about glue but it might start peeling after baking on the bed for awhile I would also recommend trying a lower temp as PETG doesn't need an a crazy amount more than PLA to start coming out (like i've found mine to come out around 180 ish but its instantly solidifies after leaving the nozzle) Take my advice with a pinch of salt as I've not been in the game for long, just giving my two cent.
  9. depends on the design and the quality of your printer, newbie printer (CS10S pro) but mine does fine at 100mm for easy prints (basic shapes and curves) but models I put it on 60mm and the details print fine
  10. What temp are you setting your nozzle at? I've got the same material red PETG and i've found it works but its very fussy. My settings are 235 nozzle, 60 for bed and i use hairspray for the glass bed for adhesion, also when you print do you hear a ticking sound from your feeds? maybe a tug on your filament line?
