  1. For this type of part : FreeCad. I'm using the LinkStable release forked from FreeCAD/FreeCAD https://github.com/realthunder/FreeCAD/tree/LinkStable to avoid the Topological naming problem still present in the regular release of FreeCad.
  2. If you're not satisfied with version 5.4, it's highly likely that versions 5.5 and 5.6 and those to come will give the same result. Somebody has an idea for a solution? Yes first of all share an image of your part. a successfull 3MF 4.X project and the same project in 5.X and then someone could start to analyse your issue.
  3. Save your Project as a 3MF cura file and drag and drop in the bottom drag area of your post on this forum .
  4. If you want some solution you should share your Cura project.
  5. Creality slicer is an Ultimaker Cura clone of a Release 4.8 of Cura : Creality_Slicer-4.8.2-build-254-win64 Creality Print is the new software of Creality : V4.3.8.6984-win64-Release seems to be based on a 5.3 Christmas tree version (Same type of bug as we can see in this release concerning Tree Support ), with interesting options such as the choice between old and new tree support. And lots of nice features that we'd like to see in future versions of Cura (distance measurement, cutting function, Text embossing etc.). But to repeat what @Slashee_the_Cow said, the software has a lot of bugs and personally, even if I like the modifications made, it's not the solution I would'nt choose for my prints.
  6. In this case, I think , you can choose to use the second extruder for the infill. In this way, the 2 colors are used in each layer, and theoretically the second color is not visible if the number of walls is sufficient.
  7. Newbie into 3D printing? Is this your first printer?
  8. The following is an initial summary of the main problems associated with version 5.6 (and 5.5), according to the updated discussion. CURA 5.6 Trending Issues 1 - Slice Failed due to Print Thin Walls #17606 #17560 #17528 #17503 #17499 #17470 #17467 #17457 #17456 #17496 #17478 #17439 #17438 #17410 #17367 #17344 #17177 #16688 #16515 #16417 For some geometries, activation of the Print Thin Walls option generates an error that stops the G-Code generation process.. 2 - Slice Failed on Windows 11 #17635 #17617 #17613 #17612 #17595 #17571 #17567 #17566 #17552 #17546 #17538 #17530 #17526 #17523 #17509 #17491 #17490 #17461 ?? #17380 #17343 #17335 #17253 Recurring cases of slicing issues on Windows 11 which, when tested on Windows 10 workstations, generate no error. 3 - Slice Failed due to Tree Support #17591 #17597 #17582 #17578 #17575 #17549 #17529 #17521 #17520 #17479 #17412 #17351 #17331 With Cura versions 5.5 and 5.6, if the settings do not allow tree-shaped supports to reach the supported area (branch angle, trunk diameter, space to create the support), the software generates an error and does not continue the slicing operation. Expecting result : No support if they cannot be generated but a model sliced. 4 - Slicing success can be Part position dependant #17610 #17598 #17473 #17466 Sometimes changing the position or rotation of a part can give a successfull result or not. 5- First Layer Wallspeed too fast #17594 If we have just some Wall on sliced geometry, initial speed are not printed at initial layer speed Last problem for versions 5.5 & 5.6 the slicing time in some cases exploded. I didn't see many report on the github but some exchanges on the forum : https://community.ultimaker.com/topic/44443-slicing-stalls-in-cura-55/#comment-327364 And #17555
  9. To be clear, if you reset the Z position of the part with the option Drop Down Model ticked, by moving it, then the lower plan is correctly shaded. But the Part works fine in any case.
  10. No , never heard about that. But ... Yes same "issue" for me. But as it is not a problem don't need to investigate anymore. The same Part, with the Drop Down Model function. Certainly a question of 0.0000001 mm accuracy.
  11. In PrusaSlicer the settings are Could be possible your machine is especting a 230x210 image size and not 300x300 ?
  12. you have a thumbnail description in your Gcode but is it compatible with this machine ? I don't know ...
  13. Because thumbnail is not generate by Cura in the Gcode. As Ultimaker doesn't use this solution they haven't added this option ( it works with PrusaSlicer because they have this option embedded in the software ). You can do it by using a postprocessing script as well as certainly your data missing informationsf for the Cloud. But you should ask this question on an anycubic forum.
  14. Plugin ProfilAnalyser https://marketplace.ultimaker.com/app/cura/plugins/5axes/ProfilAnalyser Could be used to compare different profiles , for the same printer in the same release.
  15. I don't know if it's still the case but in the past, with an enterprise account only a restricted number of plugin where allowed to download. Approved plugin by Ultimaker. I don't really understand this concept because if they are in the marketplace they have been approved, the more you pay the less you have ... Could be the origine of your issue. I have read the description of the different type of account on the website, but it s not any more clear on this point.
  16. Something usefull. Using a postprocessing script to do that.
  17. Justement on attendait plus de "mordant"
  18. To be honest, I expect to be one hundred percent right, depending of your futur years of experience in 3D printing 😁
  19. Bizarre ça on est le 24 est @darkdvd a pas encore réagi ? Covid ... Sagesse de l'âge ?
  20. It's thanksgiving .. you are very unlucky ! And Klipper is certainly the best solution for you, I am honestly quite surprised that you have not already switch to this solution, considering that it is so basic and could potentially solved all your issues.
  21. With version 5.5, there doesn't seem to be any particular problem.
  22. Ok so yes Small Top/Bottom On Surface generates this strange paths. And 110% for the flow it's not normal even if it's standard for you. By trying to regulate under-extrusion, we end up generating over-extrusion elsewhere. Personally, I think that a 100% flow calibration should be required (you can have between 98 and 102% more means that you often have another problem ).
  23. It's strange that the parameter I mentioned generates paths like your screenshot, should be like that : There's something weirde about your model. But without sharing your project, it's hard to understand your problem.
  24. Such pattern depends of a new parameter introduce in Cura 5.5 call small top/bottom surface. Try to change this parameter. But on my pointvof view you have also an issue with your flow. Try to reduce to 96 - 98 %
