Hello,
Long time Cura user, first time poster...
I find that every roll of filament needs a different flow setting, usually due to subtle differences in filament diameter. Any change in diameter results in a squared change of flow volume. Filament diameter varying just within the typical tolerance of +/-0.05mm would change the flow volume by +/- 5.8%.
I currently use my own "serial number" for each roll and have to separately track the flow setting for each. I'd be ecstatic if a flow multiplier could be added to the material, and just incorporate that multiplier into the code that figures out the extrusion length. I could then create a material profile for each of my rolls of filament and not have to "remember" the flow setting.
ExtrusionLength = MaterialFlowMultiplier x [The rest of the extrusion length calculation]
This would be a huge help for me, and I think that it would be useful for other users as well.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Doug
