  1. I'm happy to hear that I'm not alone having problems with Cura 5.4 I'm using it on an Ender 3 Pro that is hooked-up to Octoprint running on a RPI. While the printer will print properly from Octoprint, the problem I run into is that my former speedy and good profiles stopped working well when I upgraded from 5.3 I did have to fix a few issues (like changing the bowden tube), but the results were still just horrible. So I had to modify my fast profile to fit the change... been on this case for a few days now printing calibration cubes and tweaking. I had bad layer adhesion, bad infill adhesion, holes in the sides (???), holes on top. My cubes looked more like swiss cheese than anything else. Now, I'm just struggling with the walls separating... But to confirm that it was Cura, I printed a cube I had saved on the Octoprint. It had been made with version 4.x and it prints absolutely beautifully, so now I need to figure out what is wrong... not obvious.
  2. That's quite annoying. I guess Sketchup failed one more time. Strange thing is I tried it with Slic3r just for fun and it appears to be able to generate the Gcode without any issues. I wonder if in future versions of Cura there shouldn't be a pop-up warning the user that their file is broken and that it probably won't print correctly?
  3. Hi! I've just begun 3D printing and I'm already stumbling onto something weird and I don't know if it's a bug in the preview or a bug in the slicer. Thing is I print my parts at the public library and I rely a lot on the previews. I made a part that contains some holes through the base and they save properly as STL. When I open the file in Cura 4.4.1, it shows as OK. But when I slice (using the only button called slice on the screen) and then preview, it shows the holes as filled and the solid base as empty. I included my STL file. So the big question is`: Is the file going to print properly like I made it or improperly like on the preview? Thanks Instax Mini Scan Mask full frame 2x.stl
