yes It has been for quite a while. I've used it many times before with success Right now I'm trying about 50 square supports as they were the ONLY support style NOT to go thru the print

imagine a pie plate flipped over and need of supports underneath. I used the custom length on where I click one point then click another and the support runs from point to point. Except with the "pie plate" I'm trying to support to print, the supports show up on top of the print. It's like it doesn't know how high to be. I've used this support many times and never had this issue before. Cura 5.2.1

hmmm Sounds like one of the issues I have ONLY SINCE I updated to CURA 4.11. I think its a setting someplace but havent found it yet. GRRRRRR

Also with previous versions of cura, If I had a STL file on the bed, I could add another STL file or files to print up at same time. With 4.11 thats no happining. I have STL file on bed waiting for slicing, I go and add a second STL file and the first one disapears

Cura 4.11 does'nt crash when I open a file. When I have a file say in a folder thats ment for cura (*.STL), I used to be able to dbl click the STL file and cura (before 4.11) would start up and the STL file would be on the bed ready for slicing. But now when I dbl click cura does'nt start. I have to Manualy start up cura and direct cura to the folder where the STL file is and say open THIS file. I wish I could go back to say cura 4.9 or something

Hello. I've used Cura since V4.x. Have loved it. When I design something say in tinkercad, and it downloads. A lil box would appear upper right hand corner showing file downloading. Wen finished downloading, the word OPEN I would click. Then Cura would open and my file appear on Cura's bed. Worked that way from Cura 4.x up to including 4.9 beta. Now that have 4.11 I have to first start up Cura, Then click FILES, OPEN FILES. Then direct to download file and highlight it. Then click OPEN . ONLY then does it appear in Cura 4.11 . What setting am I missing and where??

Hello I have been able to get Cura up and running on my homebuilt pc. been running good since updated windows

I have a AMD Radeon RX570 video card in a homebuilt pc running windows 10 Pro 64bit. I Have used every Cura version since 3-4 back from 4.7 on a laptop running Windows 10 HOME 64bit with NO PROBLEMS. But the desktop winpro wont run because of an OpenGL cant find. Under device manager "graphics devive error code 43". The video card is disabled by windows and windows says its using most up to date video driver. Probly vid driver on MOBO (Gigabyte EX58-UD5) with 4mb and my Radeon video card has 8mb. I want to get away from having to use laptop for CURA and use faster desktop. ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGESTIONS ??

My original Ender magnetic bed is starting to look bad. I tried to clean it but still looks bad. Thinking on changing and upgrading bed to Boro Glass, or semi flex Aluminum(forget the brand name), or another stock magnetic one???? What do you have and why like it?????

SUCESS, And I did it in Cura 4.4.1. Little bit nasty getting support material out/off. Mari, THANK YOU for your help😁

Still like too expensive for me. I can remember vcr’s first out were $1,200 and at end under $100. Same thing with DVD players. Look at 3D printers how they’ve come down. Some day I’m saying recyclers will come down also.

A good filament recycler that yields good filament to use for under $300 would be the best thing since sliced bread, sorry sliced bread

QUESTION I noticed in version 4.4.1 has same modify G code options as 4.1. Is it that after making mods in 4.4.1 it didn't "stick" when printed?

Mari Thank You VERY VERY much. I had downloaded version 4.1, installed it too. Spent about 20 mins looking with no luck until you sent CHEPs video. As I watched I had Cura open making same setting changes. Right now printing "ender 3 pro" starting to print in blue then hopefully it will be waiting for black. IF I did everything correct. THANK YOU

I found ver 4.1 does this version come PAUSE at (layer #, height, or line count)? I downloaded ver 4.1 but will wait till I hear it does, and am told where in that ver I'll find it

Maybe I should look for Cura 4.1

The setting where 1) I can set to pause ( at certain line number)printing so I may change filiments (color) and 2) I don't have to be there to manually watch and hit pauseprint on my Ender screen

Im having issues looking for setting in ver 4.4 and 4.41. I wonder if 4.5beta has it?

Hello I have a subject I want to print that is the "ENDER 3 PRO" badge for top rail of printer. I want the letters to be one color and the mounting clips behind to be black. I know I want to pause the print process at line 46 to change filament. I thought I saw pause in cura 4.4. Could not find it so upgraded to Cura 4.4.1. I still cant find pause. Is it known by another name in those versions? What version has pause? 4.5beta?

Yes that how I printed it after looking at possible outcome if "opening" on bottom. So I rotated the base/case in cura and and had the "back" of the case/base on the bottom and the print turned out perfect. Thank You for that suggestion. I have now since then Learned to look at subject before slice to better orient for more successful print. Again, Thank you

I was able to “ rotate” to where the open front is now on the bottom as it prints. Which as I type this, it is now printing. I’ll let you know how it turns out some time tonight or tomarrow

I’m new to the 3D printing. Very first print of the dog went perfectly. Now 2 prints later, I was printing the case for a 2 drawer setup goes under my Ender 3 pro bed. The drawers printed good. The case was another story. The bottom and lower section sides printed ok. When the “top” of the lower section began to print, it pulled the sides in and never printed right. The bottom was flat when I lifted it off the bed. Was this a support or lack of is at issue ?
