  1. Ive had numerous issues with getting and keeping my UMS3 connected since I got it earlier this year. While I have really enjoyed the print quality, the poor reliability in its connectivity makes it really hard to recommend. That said, I've been able to handle the infuriatingly random connection losses with a combination of trial and error or resets. However, today after a number of prints with no issues, the machine has randomly lost connection to my computer, except this time, it wont register an ethernet connection at all and I cant start a wifi hotspot. I tried resetting, factory reset, etc, but since it wont even connect to my internet I cant download the new firmware. I've changed my Ethernet cable, switched where in the hub it connects to, zero dice. Yes, I reset the Cura connection,, nothing. It is like the internet functionality just decided to die suddenly. Has anyone seen this issue? Any suggestions for how I can fix this? Is there any option to do a direct connection to my PC, something they really should have given how problematic their connectivity is via the other options.
  2. I had some issues when I first set my S3 up, which were resolved with a factory reset. I have found this device to be pretty frustrating but Ive been using the machine without issue for weeks and today the ethernet connection has just randomly stopped working. Nothing different about my system. Like when I had this problem before, the printer shows an ethernet connection with an IP address, I can download firmware and it appears to be the current version. Ive tried resetting the machine like before and it sort of worked, I can get a connection, but it would just not do anything when I sent files to the printer, and now the connection is gone again. I upgraded my Cura to 4.5, no effect. Someone here was able to look at my log files to see what was up, Im hoping someone could have a look again and see what the issue is. There is nothing more enraging than hardware that randomly stops working when nothing has changed. Thanks from a frustrated user. 3. So ya, that totally worked. I'm not sure why the last time I did it it didn't make any difference, but I wont complain. Thanks for the help.
  4. I had done this, but ill try it again. Just to confirm, do a factory reset and then install the new firmware? It offers two versions of firmware, the test and the stable, which should I pick? Thanks again, Jordan
  5. So I follow the instructions for loading a new filament. I place the place, manually insert the filament in to the feeder. Sometimes I have to release the lock to manually feed it up, but other times it grabs and advances the filament on its own. The issue I'm having is that it will say it is loading the new material into the print core, there is a waiting period here, I'm assuming to heat up the core. Then it makes that whining noise it makes when it advances the filament up the tube. It will then say to confirm when new material extrudes. Its at this point that I get an issue. It slowly spits out a random length of material, sometimes long, most of the time just a few mms, but it always stops at some point before I press the confirm button. Then it times out and goes back to the back corner of the machine. It seems to print fine, but i always have a bit of the old filament that has to be worked out in the beginning of the print. Seems to happen regardless if i use ultimaker or 3rd party brand filament. What am I missing here?
  6. I see it, Ill attach all those , thanks. Its a bunch of files... Like I mentioned earlier, both Cure and the cloud seem to be able to see it by name, but nothing can make a connection, not cura, cloud or my phone app. It is connected by ethernet, and has a connection enough to get the firmware upgrade. ultimakersystem-0030d6209020.5.3.10.20200107.boot-1.log ultimakersystem-0030d6209020.5.3.10.20200107.boot-2.log ultimakersystem-0030d6209020.5.3.10.20200107.boot-3.log ultimakersystem-0030d6209020.5.3.10.20200107.boot-4.log ultimakersystem-0030d6209020.5.3.10.20200107.boot0.log
  7. I'm not entirely sure which logs you are looking for, but when I save the logs to USB I get this file, thanks in advance. There is another log call flow_Ultimaker ##### but it is empty dmesg.log
  8. I'm having a similar problem. I just got my Ultimaker S3. Ive plugged it into the Ethernet and the network setting show a printer name and IP address. It connected and upgraded its firmware already. However, neither my computer or phone can connect. It sees the printer name but just cycles endless trying to connect. Cura also doesn't seem to be able to connect so I'm stuck transferring my files via a USB. Any ideas what the issue is?
