  1. While I don't have all the bugs worked out yet, I will post shortly what I have and am working with. Couple of the features/capabilities I am working on Am able to use 3.00, 2.85 and 1.75 filaments with the stock All Metal Hex Hot End Have a few different slice profiles for a few materials Have profiles for some different nozzle diameters as well
  2. I switched over from Lulzbot Cura and am trying to teach myself how to make a compatible profile package. I even am able to print 1.75, 2.85 and 3.00 filaments with the stock Taz 5 all metal hot end.
  3. Best to start with - I am not a programmer. Am wondering if it is possible in a future upgrade or as a Plugin, have a method to overlay a graphic or photo of our print bed so we can identify areas of our print bed that have damage. My print bed has a few damaged spots - PEI film has broken off or there are large air bubbles under the PEI film that cause local extrusion fails but the rest of the bed is usable. Most of my prints can fit on the print bed with proper placement and I want to avoid those bad spots. If there is an easier way to identify them automatically on the print bed, would make object placement easier. I know that there is a grid that I can count squares but that gets tedious and cross eyed. I replaced the bed recently, printed with TPU and forgot to put down glue stick so I have a small broken area. Anyone wanting to tackle this and make a plugin or consider for an upgrade? Thank you
  4. I've attached a PDF of the JSON file I created, leveraging from Lulzbot 's Cura for Taz and the lulzbot_taz5.stl bed I downloaded. I put these into the Cura resources folders (definitions and meshes), restarted Cura and selected a new printer from the non-network list under Lulzbot. Then I went into printer set up to verify/correct any info - mostly nozzle which is 0.5mm and filament diameter. Created 3 profiles - 1.75, 2.85 and 3.00. I did have to create my own print profiles based upon Lulzbot's profiles and have those as well. lulzbot_taz5.def.json.pdf lulzbot_taz5.stl
  5. I've attached a copy of the log file. The Lulzbot Taz is able to handle multiple size filament diameters and I have created different profiles as different printers for each. Once I am able get the plugin to work, how do we add static text? cura.log
  6. Am hoping to use this plugin. Have installed and loaded {machine_nozzle_size} into Cura 4.4.1 and then loaded a STL file. The program immediately crashes. If I delete the {machine_nozzle_size} presence there is no problem but then I don't have the feature. In addition to nozzle size was also hoping to have a filament diameter listed. There are some printers that can print multiple filament diameters would be great to auto identify in file name.
