  1. That looked like it might work but throws a lot of errors and never installs.
  2. From another user (Asterchades) on Reddit: "Light blue is exactly resting on the bed. Dark blue is beneath the bed. That it changes in this case is likely to be rounding errors on the floating point numbers used internally to determine which colour it should be." This was the answer I was looking for.
  3. Added images to show example. No material color assigned. Typically the model is yellow in Cura.
  4. I noticed that when I place a model on the bed sometimes the bottom appears dark blue and other times light blue. I can lift it up and drop it again and it will sometimes switch to the other blue. Which is correct? Should the bottom be dark blue, light blue or are they the same?
  5. This is an example of a gcode file created by Cura which contains a thumbnail which is displayed within Octoprint. CFFFP_SmallPlanter.gcode
  6. Same definition. Typically the thumbnail can be generated when slicing into a gcode file. That image can then be seen within Octoprint for example to see what the model looks like rather than just text.
  7. I know I can create a thumbnail as a post-processing when creating the g-code but is there a way to add the thumbnail after the g-code has been created? I have a lot of g-code files I would like to add thumbnails to but don't really want to re-process all of them.
  8. I found that the Black PLA I was using was the issue in this case. I tested with a different roll and different color and both printed correctly. Not sure why that spool is causing issues but that was my resolution.
  9. This is a "before" image before pressing the circular arrow. The profile is currently on "PLA Taz6" You can see the grey star indicating there are changes. After pressing the Circular arrow is the "After" image and you can see the profile switched to "Normal - 0.15 mm"
  10. If I click the circular arrow it changes the profile to a default profile which is not the current profile. The disk icon brings up the window I showed which is missing the discard current changes. Previously selecting discard current changes would remove any changes to the current profile and not go to a different profile. The only work around I have is to select a different profile, discard the changes at that point, then move back to the original profile.
  11. I am trying to discard the current changes to the profile and when I select the icon I don't see an option to simply discard the current changes. If I switch to a different profile then I do see the button but not if it is the current profile. Is there a way to discard the current changes without switching to a different profile then back again?
  12. I noticed that my recent prints are having issues with the first layer. The first layer doesn't go down far enough to adhere to the print bed. I reprinted the same object with an older version of Cura (in this case Cura 4.3) and the print worked properly. It acts as though the z offset in my firmware is being ignored and is printing the first layer too high. Is there a setting which controls this? I see an extruder prime z position (which is currently 0) should that match my firmware z offset amount? I am printing with a Lulzbot Taz6. I am using Cura 5.3 which has the issue. Tested with both 5.2.1 and 5.3.0 with same test model (small cylinder) and both came out correctly. I must have had an issue with the model itself of how I sliced it in Cura. I would delete this post but I don't see an option for that.
  13. I have a model which is curved (think of it like a curved dinner plate) and the bottom rests on the print bed and the sides slowly raise up. If I print with supports (which are needed) removing the supports near the center is a real pain because they are so short. Can I force the model to be moved upwards? So the actual model doesn't start until say 30mm off the print bed and the supports are now big enough they can be easily removed?
  14. I've seen posts regarding using honeycomb infill but I don't see it in the options for infill. I want to use a translucent filament with honeycomb infill but I don't see the option. Is this an add-on/plug-in? How do I get the honeycomb infill pattern?
