  1. i have the exact same need. my problem is that the print doesn't stick to support well enough, the skin right above the support is always really bad, the infill tangle up and make a mess. but, if i adjust z distance too close then the support won't separate. i've found a kind of hacky way to get the behavior i want due to how it's calculating the bridge. 1. set bridge skin support threshold to 99% 2. set the support horizontal expansion to -0.1mm 3. set the support interface horizontal expansion to -0.1mm hope this helps.
  2. changing the surface mode is making cura create double lines, what i don't get is that the default ultimaker profile doesn't need to make any of those changes and it is working fine. other profile seems to have issues with this single wall model.
  3. i'm having some strange issue with the slicer, not sure why it's doing it. it seems to create ripple lines at corner or thin parts. so i tried to use this model to calibrate the printer https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1796601 the cura slicer seems to not slicing this correctly with custom fff printer, when i turn on thin wall setting. but when i load the default ultimaker s5 printer profile, it's able to slice this object correctly without all the ripple lines. any idea how to fix this?
