  1. Ah yes indeed, that was an easy fix. I indeed changed the 'top surface skin layers' to 0, and this fixed the problem. Thank you for your helping answer!!
  2. Hello, When there are printed more layers partly on the first layer, Cura does print the first layer weird. For example the whole plane in the picture below should be printed, but it prints it first half, and does after that the remaining. The first layer quality is therefore very bad. I also added a 3mf file to view what's going on. If you change the 'Bottom pattern initial layer' to 'lines', it's even worse. The whole first layer are lines, but not printed well. See the picture below. Can someone help me with this problem? I really need only 1 layer of print on certain spaces, but it should be printed as if it is one layer, so with continuous lines (for better adhesion, better print quality and lower print time). When I add a block in which I change the settings for overlap above 0.2 mm, it does work. However I'm planning to make a model with 10 different layers. So adding this box on each 0.2 step is a lot of work, and should not be preferred in my opion. So I'm searching for an alternative solution. Please let me know if you know a setting or some other things that are going on, or if you want more information/want me to try a certain thing. Thanks in advance!! weird_firstlayer.3mf
  3. Ah oke thank you, I will from now on print with another infill pattern so this problem will not arise again. It is still vague why some infill pattern do work while others don't work. Perhaps this is not added in the code yet. Anyhow thank you for your time and for you answers!!
  4. weird_infill.3mf Here is the 3mf file. You should shift it maybe a little bit so it fits within the build volume in order to slice it. The weird thing happens in the middle circle in the infill lines. So layer 80 or layer 60 or which layer you prefer where it prints the infill circle in the middle. I kind of understand the slice program, because I changed the infill density from 20% to 80%, so it goes over the lines 4 times instead of 1. But this leads to overextrusion in the print, while it should just make more triangles. Thanks in advance!
  5. Hello, In my gcode I have the weirdest issue were Cura prints one infill line multiple times with full flow, so it leads to a big overextrusion problem. I don't think I can show a video, but I can show it in the gcode: It goes over (slightly) the same lines multiple times, which is surely not necessary. I created my slice model by adding a block in my stl file, and modyfing the settings for overlap (I changed infill and number of top/bottom layers). However this should not lead to this strange result. Does anyone know what to do with this, and how to detect this/prevent this before printing? Thanks in advance!
  6. Yeah maybe I should re-install it indeed. No weird things inside infill, only cubic subdivision which is different, but changing this doesn't do the trick. Thanks anyway for your reply!
  7. Hello, Below you can see my problem. When printing stuff, the infill is done before any walls are printed. This is really weird, when the option 'infill before walls' is clearly turned off (see first picture). I In the second picture (below), no strange things appear. The walls are printed first. However after these walls, the infill as above is printed, and after that the walls and the total infill like in the third picture is printed. This problem only arise on layers like this one. There are no problems in earlier layers, but there are in later layers, when new bottom layers have to be printed (see last picture). This problem arose when I changed the 'infill line width' from 0.4 to 0.5. Changing it back or restarting Cura doesn't do the trick unfortunately. Does someone perhaps know the issue or has any suggestions that I can try? Thanks in advance!
  8. No I have never calibrated the extruder e-steps. I think that that is a good first step to do. However if the printer is indeed over-extruding, then I need to lower the flow I guess, and the clicking will appear again. I printed a cylinder and the clicking appeared on some layers while on others it did not. I also checked the bed and a piece of paper slightly scratched the nozzle.
  9. I'm also struggling with my Ender 3 pro and Flow rate. However when adapting the value of Flow in the Material section, less material is pushed trough the nozzle, so I do not have this issue on Cura 4.6.1. However I never heard a clicking noise before, and after adjusting this value it appeared on slower printed areas. Does someone know how to fix this?
  10. Okay too bad, than I guess there is also no option to view the disallowed areas in Cura?
  11. Hello, does someone perhaps know if it is possible to add the z coordinate as well? The clips are not infinite high, and it would be nice if the printer can print above the clips. Another question, is it possible to see this area in Cura? Because now it is only possible to see if the block will fit in the box and if it is yellow or not (no feedback why it is not yellow, but this is because of the clips). Thanks in advance!
