Why can you save the same named file in digital factory???

I have had similar issues. I found it interesting that it looks like no improvements were made to the mechanical positioning of the new S7.

Abort Print takes SO LONG + Finished print sequence
Tim_Cochrane replied to Bigbrit's topic in Firmware
@Szahari Hey.... 9 months. Whats up with getting this fixed? Missed dinner with my family last week because of this. How do we run this up the flagpole? I mean...its just a couple of variables to change. Please!!!! Tim -
@Super_Paulie My printer does not have a material station. My "skip cool down" option is not present. I have firmware 7.0.2.0. Missed dinner with my family last week because of this safety "feature". The printer works great when it does but ignoring simple interface issues such as this will not make me a return customer. Tim

It would be nice if you focused on items that were broken before starting another project. -
Sounds like a serious oven. I have a Memmert oven, only goes up to 300C.

I'm just trying to find if Cura automatically calculates shrink in relation to the material that is being used. It seems like the details of shrink have been left out. Recently, I have been heating 3d printed items for 12 hours in my precision oven as an experiment. Tim

Hello, Does Cura account for shrinkage according to the material that is being used? Thanks, Tim

Ultimaker S5 - Material Database
Tim_Cochrane replied to Tim_Cochrane's topic in UltiMaker 3D printers
Ok, thanks. What a pain. -
I think my material database is corrupt. 1. I cannot load materials - tried both network based and walking USB stick over to printer. 2. Is there any way to remove all of the profiles in the printer that are not being used...or ever will be used? Thanks, Tim

I have an UM5 (latest firmware) connected to Cura (4.13.1) via wifi. It worked fine for the past 4 weeks after I moved my office, but it has now stopped. 1. I have rebooted the router, computer, and printer. 2. I tried to connect the printer within Cura. I'm not sure what to do or what to try. Can anybody give me some advice on how to get the purple smoke to work again? Thanks, Tim
-
@SandervG Yes. Please change the firmware for this process back. I would consider it a crucial bug because you took good functionality and replaced it with bad functionality.

@SandervG I keep getting an error with my printer: print head offset. Previously when I got this issue, it just asked if I wanted to re-try. After the firmware update: 1. I get a failed message. 2. The printer locks out while it cools down. 3. It asks if part was removed (even through it did not extrude anything). Now it takes 20-30 minutes to clear this error. Can you change it back to the way it was previously implemented? Thanks, Tim

@friedl_basson I am having the same issues. Have you made any progress? Thanks, Tim

Abort Print takes SO LONG + Finished print sequence
Tim_Cochrane replied to Bigbrit's topic in Firmware
I share the same sentiment. For some reason I have been getting the nozzle offset mismatch and if fails the print. Previous to this it would just ask if I would like to restart the print. Now it waits for the bed to cool and then asks if the part was removed (that was never started). It takes 20-30 minutes for this process which is maddening. -
Hi, Occasionally I get a failed print head offset error. In the past it allowed me to select "try again". Now all I get is "has part been removed" and back to square one. Go back to cura and send another print to the printer. Tim

Just started having this issue again. My computer did a firmware upgrade and cura went to 4.9.1. What a pain. I just want it to work. Tim

"appears to be empty" - not out of material
Tim_Cochrane replied to Tim_Cochrane's topic in UltiMaker 3D printers
I bumped the temp another 6 degrees, so now I am at +9. I'll see how it goes. Tim -
"appears to be empty" - not out of material
Tim_Cochrane replied to Tim_Cochrane's topic in UltiMaker 3D printers
Yes. I understand those two ideas, I just do not not know the best course of action to fix them. The last time it happened, I just told it I replaced the material and hit go without doing anything. It printed for another half hour and then stopped again. Tim -
Hi Folks, I keep getting this error during a print "material appears to be empty" - when it is not empty. The material is Ultimaker PLA, it is an older spool - no RFID tag in it. 1. The material is not empty. 2. I tried increasing the temperature to improve flow. Before I keep testing..etc. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tim
