  1. Is there any documentation on the clibration processes with the plugin? Thank you!
  2. By setting Gradual Infill Steps, the infill density can be changed along Z axis. After examining the printing preview, I'm aware that there is nothing magic in the density transition, but simply printing new infll of higher density on the infill of lower density. Therefore at low densities, e.g. from 2% to 5%, the transition seems to be challenging. I wonder whether there is something like Tree support for the density transiftion at low infill density? Thanks!
  3. In the preview mode, the slider on the right shows the layer number. Is it possible to show the height of the current layer somewhere? Thanks!
  4. Hi @nallath I fully recognize your expertise in the fusion printing process. In fact, your job is really great! Thank you!
  5. Hi @GregValiant @nallath My line width is 0.6mm. And It seems that layer height of 0.333 should be ok for 0.4mm nozzle. Yes, they are on the border, but have been used for many prints. Thank you for your comments!
  6. Is there a complete list of color representations in the preview mode? Thanks!
  7. Hi @GregValiant It's a 0.4 nozzle. The process has been used on other software for long. Thank you for your comments!
  8. I remember that the orange color means the item value is illegal. But the values seem to be ok and the model can be sliced successfully. What does the orange color mean? Thank you!
  9. Hi @Cuq I did read the guide carefully, but you understood it much better!
  10. Hi @Cuq Your explanation is great. You do have awesome understanding of the process. Thank you!
  11. Outer Wall Wipe Distance In the Cura guide: "With this setting, at the end of every outer wall, the nozzle will travel slightly further without extrusion, wiping the contour closed." The recommended value is 0.2~0.4mm Wipe Distance in Simplify3D (illustrated in the attached image) The tool tip: "Wipe the nozzle at the end of a loop." The recommended value is 5mm. In my understanding, their difference is: Outer Wall Wipe Distance in Cura is "travel slightly further" Wipe Distance in Simplify3D is travelling backward Why are recommended values significantly different? Thank you for some clues! Wipe Distance in Simplify3D
  12. Hi @nallath Hope the team can fix the inconsitent behavior of openning STL files. Thank you! Existing models are lost: click/open an STL file commandl line "cura.exe aaa.stl" Existing models are kept: menu/open an STL file drag/drop an STL file in Cura window
  13. I've been confused by Top Surface Skin Layers vs. Top Layers for very long time. I've read a previous post very carefully but didnot find the answer. Could anybody explain their difference? Is their relationship similar to that of Initial Bottom Layers vs. Bottom Layers? Thank you!
  14. @ahoeben Thank you for your comments! It would be great if the behavior can be brought back.
  15. I tried the command below, but then Cura would clear all the existing models in the current Cura window and then open the specified .stl model. "C:\Program Files\Ultimaker Cura 4.8.0\cura.exe" C:\000\aaa.stl Is it possible to import the specified .stl model while keeping the existing models? Thanks! (Note: Preferences > General > Use a single instance of Cura is checked, because opening a new istance of Cura is very slow.)
  16. @Smithy @ahoeben @nallath Thank you all for your comments! It's really a sad message.
  17. I need to make the shortcuts consistent with my modelling software. Thanks!
  18. I hope to be alerted to save my project when I close Cura mistakenly. Thanks!
  19. The cura documentation said "You can mirror your model along its X, Y, and Z axes". A model can mirrored by a plane. How can it be mirrored by an axis? Thank you for some clues!
