  1. Was hoping someone could help me out with this issue. I'm printing in PETG and whenever the nozzle starts a new layer, it stops feeding filament for a few mm which causes these huge gaps in the outer wall. I have unchecked the setting "retract at layer change" as well as "retract before outer wall". But I can figure out why its happening only on the outer wall and not any of the other layers. The inner walls/layers are completely fine. Also, the first 5 base layers are perfect. The layers above that start to have this problem. I should also mention that I have coasting set to off as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated! P.S. Sorry the photos are upside down. Couldn't fix it.
  2. That did it! Thank you very much for the help! Can't believe I missed that little arrow -_- Edit: So now the temperatures will change accordingly but I cant change the retraction because the retraction setting doesn't have an arrow... Edit #2: Ok so I stumbled into this article: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/4041 which solved my problem. I had to go into the configuration folder and delete the lines for retraction speed and distance to have them "unlock". Maybe they should just add an arrow to undo the setting instead.
  3. I'm sure this has been asked before but I cant seem to find a straight answer. I'm new to printing and Cura so I figured I'd just ask the forum. I'm using Cura 4.8 and I have made a custom profile for myself, as well as custom materials profiles (PLA and PETG). My issue is when I switch from one material to the other, the temp and retraction settings don't update in the profile. I found out that this is because the profile settings override the material settings if you change them. But is there any way to keep the settings in my profile I want modified, and then just have the temp and retraction settings switch between materials? Thanks in advance for the help!
