  1. Ah, found a solution here: https://support.ultimaker.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402996140946-Ultimaker-Cura-crashes-when-opening-any-file, seemed it had to do with the Chitubox thumbnail preview. Installed 4.12, everything working fine now... Sorry for my blunt first post on this topic. Sometimes it helps to stop for a few hours and get back to it. 😉
  2. I removed 4.12 from my new PC, installed 4.11 and copied the settings. Now I have 4.11 working on my new PC as it was on my old pc, so that's a relief, thank you for the tip. But, I have a new problem. When I try to open a file Cura Slicer crashes. I can however drag files from file explorer to Cura, but when I try t open a file from the menue <File><Open> the app freezes and crashes after about 5 seconds. Removed the app, reinstalled it, no resloution. Any idea what can be wrong???
  3. Oookay, didn't find that feature, will try it. Does it also work when upgrading from 4.11 to 4.12 (and switching PC's at the same time)?
  4. I'm very sorry if my posting is upsetting or blunt. That was not the intention. But I have struggled several hours to get my settings from my old pc (using 4.11) to my new one (using 4.12) and that got me quit frustrated and triggered my somewhat frustrated reaction. Again sorry for that. And, to be honest I like Cura Slicer much more than the Prusa Slicer, so I really would go on using it. But up til now I haven't been able to get my "old" 4.11 settings transferred to my new 4.12 installation in an easy way. I have about 70 profiles and I only "see" the manual path i.e. exporting them 1-by-1 on my old pc (with 4.11) and importing them 1-by-1 on my new pc running 4.12. This will take several hours of work. Is there any way to do this faster/easier???? Maybe I'm missing something very obvious, but I really would appreciate some help.
  5. Hi, I would like to upgrade from 4.11 to 4.12 but there is one structural problem with new Cura versions. There is a lot of complaining about it, but Ultimaker seems to neglect that. What's my problem? How the f* do I transfer dozens of printptrofiles to the next version without several hours of work doing exports (and retyping the profile name for each profile) and imports on my new version and/or the next/new computer? I currently have a Creality CR6-SE and I'm considering a new printer. (Actually I want to start a 3D print shop.) I really do like the Ultimaker printers, but looking at the troubles I have with each next version of Cura.... and/or a new/additional computer? Well... stone age practices. Really hate this part of Cura. Is there a simple solution??? If not I'm going for a Prusa3D for my next printer. I asked Mr Google, but there seems to be no smooth solution. (Or didn't I ask the right question???) Hope someone has a nice solution... Tom...
  6. This is really, really bad!!! Syncing settings should be a standard feature. Have set up a new faster PC and now I'm struggeling with getting my print settings transferred or synced to my new PC. I'm really wondering where I do need an account for if this standard piece of functionality is not available. |I'm quitte upset about this. Is there a way to copy the settings from my old PC to my new PC? I'm just about to quit using Cura and switch to Prusa Slicer or something equivalent.
