Resolved. I think the issue was a loose Z motor plug. My theory is that the er402 message occurred but was not displayed because the “welcome” screen was given priority. And the ER402 message, in the background, locked the touchscreen.

Hi guys, I just received my ultimaker 2+ connect and updated the firmware to UM2C_00100400.img via the included usb drive. There was no error message/issue with the install. After updating, I am stuck on the welcome screen. The touchscreen does not seem to work? Did I receive a lemon? Or am I missing something obvious. Has anyone ran into this issue before? If so, how did you solve it.
