    regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.stl.<cura version number> deleting the old versions seems to work for me. I noticed windows uses this key if you use the 'open with' > 'choose another app' dialog Key Name: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\UltiMaker-Cura.exe\shell\open\command

    it's the prime tower. I couldn't find the setting in cura that changes, but in %appdata%/cura/5.2/quality_changes/custom-printer.cfg i changed prime_tower_enable = True to prime_tower_enable = False if you have grep installed, then you might run a recursive grep to find the proper file: grep --color -rni "prime_tower_enable = True" %appdata%/cura

    getting the same error with dual extrusion on 4.12.1 will try to 3mf model format. --edit-- didn't fix it for me.
