  1. I have tried using lithophane makers on the net, but I have come to the conclusion that the built in one on Cura is the best of them all. The problem I have with it is that it defaults to a size of 100 x 100. I make all my lithos at 148 x 100. It is easy enougy to change the settings in the slicer, but I need to remember to do it every time. I'm pushing 80. and my memory is not what is was. Is there some way that I can make the lithomaker default to 148 x 100? thanks Dave.
  2. I am presently running both versions, and I have to say that every single print, using exactly the same profile, takes longer using 5.0 .... is this me, or am I missing something here?
  3. I have been printing rc airplanes. The current one has locating holes for the wings and fuselages. I have found that I needed to open these up slightly to make them accept the specified pegs. I just noticed that Cura has an option called 'Hole Horizontal Expansion"' stating that a positive value would increase the size of the hole, while a negative value would decrease the size of the hole. I applied a figure of 0.05mm to this, thinking it would enlarge all holes by 0.05mm, however, it has had the opposite effect, and has actually made all the holes smaller. It is a bit hard to tell how much smaller, but it would even appear to be more than the specified 0.05mm. I will have to print the wing again, and this time I will try using -0.05, and see what happens. Could you please have a look at this, as these parts have a 9 hour print time ... thanks Dave.
  4. The Tronxy firmware has major dramas with Z offset .... is why most Tronxy users move across to Marlin ....
  5. Whilst printing 3d planes in single wall with Cura, I have been unable to complete the first layer as the designer has asked. To enable ease of gluing parts together that have very thin single walls, the designer has made the first layer with three perimeters I have been using Prusa up until now, and it is possible to modify the first layer or selected number of layers with extra perimeters, and then have the single perimeter for the remainder of the print. Can I do this with Cura?
