  1. Can someone advise on how to increase the number of layers of PVA support material at the top and bottom of supports? Presently the PVA layers are so thin that the PLA material that provides the bulk of the support adheres to the print and so reduces the quality. TIA Andrew
  2. Just a further update that this con merchant believes he has disappeared into the ether, but not so! He is actively being pursued and will pay for his crime.
  3. Not for me, latest firmware and the abort time can be never ending! Had a fan issue, very frustrating to have to wait up to 20 minutes before I could gain access to try to address the problem. Why does it need to take so long? maybe if there was an explanation then I would feel more comfortable.
  4. So reduce speed, ok will do. I have done hot and cold pulls to check there isnt a partial blockage and I have put in a brand new AA print core. Thanks for the advice
  5. So I'm back again with the same problem. I have shortened and countersunk the Bowden tubing I have replaced the collet, clips and tubing I still have the same problem, so any helpful advice is welcomed!
  6. Carbon, yes, but why do some clever, clever and expert people just not use the KISS principle. State the reason and then give the references instead of trying to demean someone. Obviously I looked in the wrong place or I wouldn't have asked the question, would I? The answer by Carla was exactly what was needed, succinct, to the point and correct, but thank you for bothering anyway. Issue appears to be resolved.
  7. So, Carbon, it is a common problem but you don't give a solution, thanks my friend!
  8. For the last week every time I print for more than a couple of hours, the Bowden tube leading to Print head 1 is dislodged and filament continues to be driven but does not extrude. I assume that this is a problem at the hot end, so I have done the maintenance with hot and cold pulls and all appears good. It isn't just one filament it has been various but all are Ultimaker PLA. What am I doing wrong? Image is on its side, not sure how to fix that, sorry.
  9. But it happens all the time, not just once at the moment 3 of my spools aren't recognised and there doesn't seem to be any activity from the manufacturer. My investment was close to that of a small car, I sort of expected better, my naivety obviously.
  10. Why doesn't Ultimaker come back with an answer to this problem?
  11. Is there a glossary of all the error codes and messages in one place as that would be an easy reference in addition to the qcodes that pop up? For example I had a "height mismatch" error and quickest way to find what it was about was google, but a well constructed, structured and searchable database would be great. If there is one, no doubt I will be told about it, but if there is then it isnt very well publicised! Andrew
  12. So it's confirmed, no driver's licence with that ID, a scam! Let's see what Ultimaker thinks.....
  13. Where have you disappeared to Nate? I have paid my money and now complete silence. Have I been a victim of fraud? Andrew
