Thanks for the great guide gr5! Sounds likely that it's the flash memory since the printer has been used a lot. Will check with the owner what to do since i have not been allowed to buy anything or fix anything physically yet.

I've been tasked with trying to fix a dead UM3 Extended, when it came to me it booted, but stopped at the Ultimaker Logo. Not sure if the button litt up like it does now. I did the standard recovery and it did make a difference...a small one... I now get this message, click the button and it continues and stops again at the Ultimaker logo. I tried SSH, no go, it must not be in dev mode. HDMI was tried, the PC screen shows the Ultimaker logo for 3-4 secs then goes black. One thing that does work is WebUI, i get into it and can change the name of the printer and watch the camera, but that's it, it says it's unavailable for printing etc. Is there any hope for fixing this with the USB serial cable or does it just need a new main board?
