  1. Mine's not an S5, but a UM3, if that makes any difference. I tried unplugging the cable at the print head prior to replacing the board, and it didn't help it to boot. I decided to replace the board because there had been a pretty gory head flood before that destroyed a print head on my first foray into ABS, and they're relatively cheap. Thing seems to be printing fine now, with PLA. I'm now trying to get ABS to stick to the build plate. I'm 0 for 4 now...
  2. I fixed it! It was a bum Printhead PCB. Thanks for helping out.
  3. thanks for the suggestion, CarloK. That one wouldn't load at all. My HDMI monitor showed what looks to be a garbled Ultimaker logo, then nothing else happened after that. Do you know if there's another stable restore I could try?
  4. I updated my firmware to the latest version 2 days ago using the ethernet connection, and now the printer [UM3] won't boot. I tried the UM3_recovery-4.3.3.20180529.img recovery image on a microSD card, and it seems to have successfully installed, based on the output to an hdmi monitor I had hooked up, which said "Installation complete Please power off now and remove the microSD card". After pulling the card and turning the printer back on, the printer output over hdmi said "File not found 236a-ffffffff", then after some other stuff, got stuck at "Starting kernel...". I tried this a couple of times with no love. Also tried it with another microSD card with still. no. love. Sounds a lot like what happened with The_Mixa, but in this case, all I did was the firmware update. I took a photo of what was onscreen, if it would be of any help: Thanks for all the advice in this thread!
