  1. Bumping this as well. Would like to know what is the code for CC cores, or how to find them.
  2. Hello! I'm finding a bit of an unmet need with Cura and Digital Factory. When I upload multipart prints to digital factory, the association to the stl/ 3mf file on my computer is broken, meaning that I cannot overwrite the file to prompt Cura to refresh the model. I'd like to be able to reload the file, if not through a dialog in cura/ DF, then by finding where the file is downloaded from DF onto my computer to display it and replacing it there. Reason I'm doing this is my application requires me to print parts in similar arrays and quantities- when a part goes through a revision or a new, similar part is needed, I would want to open a project and set up a build plate of parts in the same locations, with the same settings and overrides without having to manually place all the parts and re-do the overrides.
  3. Did some more experimenting- the bridge is detected if I increase the bridge skin support threshold from the default 50% to a whopping 95%. I suppose it is counting the surface area overhanging relative to the surface area of the previous layer, not just localized to the overhang. I suppose this works for the piece I am printing now, but is there a downside to keeping this value this high?
  4. Hello all, I'm trying to create a geometry that can be printed support free over a square nut or over thin air. I've made what is in the attached image, with two layers intended to bridge the gap before printing the hole above. I intended for this geometry to be a bridge, but Cura 5.1 is not detecting it as such. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Default bridge settings turned on ~8mm wide square hole ~5mm wide round hole 0.15mm "steps", same as my layer height 0.4mm nozzle on my S5
  5. Actually, something I just noticed- The profiles are tied to what is entered into the material type field. I had previously thought that was just for placing the material into the right "Folder". I was getting the Not Supported profile on my carbon fiber filled Nylon because I had set it as just Nylon, which has no profiles for the 0.6 CC core. That explains part of my problem, at least. I do wish that the profiles weren't tied to the type, that slightly clutters the menu on the Material Station.
  6. Hello all, I am printing with some 3rd party non- marketplace spools, and I can't seem to get the Material Station to give me the option to select them properly. For example, I have 3 PLAs- the UM PLA that comes with the printer, a spool of BASF PLA PRO1, and a cheap spool of MH Build PLA. I duplicated the Generic PLA material in Cura to build the materials for the last two, and they are well dialed in. However, since they are both linked to Generic PLA, they are not sync'd to the printer, which will only work if they are set as Generic PLA. Unlinking the materials from Generic PLA makes them show up separately, but now loses the nice array of profiles, and in one case bugged out my material profile to now only show "Not Supported" This would be fine to leave as linked to Generic, except this now means that I cannot have both PLAs loaded into the Material Station, as they are equivalent in the eyes of the machine. Any advice?
  7. Hello UM Community, I have a project where I am trying to imbed a mesh disk into a part by pausing and resuming. The disks I have aren't the most even, so I want to give a decent margin to avoid scraping the nozzle. I need to then increase flow when the printer is putting the first layer of plastic over the mesh to get it to lay very well over the mesh. I've seen that in PrusaSlicer, there are recent additions of something like setting modifiers for particular regions, but I have an S5, so I am limited to Cura. I figure I could either add some gcode for that layer or use a second shape overlayed over the actual part with per model settings set to increased flow... Has anyone else tried doing something like this? Any tips or wisdom?
  8. Aha! That may very well be what I needed. I'll try this out and report with results.
  9. That's the plan so far. I'll be working with unlinked copies of the marketplace profiles. Is there a list anywhere that provides the names of the settings? P.S., this would be a great plugin!
  10. Hello, I have an S5 Pro, which prints great, except for the deprime procedure on some 3rd party materials. It commonly grinds up the filament when trying to retract it, and forcing me to cut off a hefty length of plastic. I suspect that it is the break temperature setting, which is hidden by cura, even on non-marketplace or UM profiles. I can certainly try to copy a profile from a higher temperature generic profile, but I'd much rather just edit some files. I see that I can edit custom profiles in the quality_changes folder- would I be able to add a line to call out a higher break_temperature? Anywhere that I can see the original value? Thanks.
