  1. nvm, its dead... luckily it was a spare board that already didn't work, but still...
  2. Hey, i just read this thread and applied that same fix, since i had the same issue. Only when i plugged in power i heard a number of cracking sounds... I immediately unplugged but dont think anything died.
  3. And i found the solution to that, my out-of-frustration highest tension for the extruder was too much for the filament i am using, putting it to the middle resolved this issue...
  4. ok, i instantly find a problem; the extruder still skips with the bowdentube+filament out of the printhead...
  5. I did something similar to this yesterday, with a wire thin enough to fit through the nozzle; after removing the bowden tube i could get a big chunk of insanely hard PLA out of there, probably filled with contaminations. Tho it didnt help much in the end... Ill try the cold pull once today, and see how it goes!
  6. As the title reads, my UM2 skips at all times, with any filament, at the highest tension... Yes, even during the initial extrusion before the print starts This only started being this severe today, as previously it would only skip during the first layer; i've already calibrated the bed properly, so the nozzle is not too close to the glass bed. I would not know what i can do, beside taking the entire printhead apart to check for any type of edge causing friction; or checking the Bowden tube for wear causing friction aswell...
  7. I think my problem is quite unique, since i have not found any other post with the same problem... My calibration is fine, i used callipers and careful movement to get the steps/mm just right. Movement through the "move axis" menu is 1:1, 1cm is 1cm, 10cm is 10cm etc etc. My problem comes when i try to actually print, the X axis will print twice as large, turning a 1cm cube into a 2cm cube only there. The Z axis also seems to be off since after layer 1 nothing sticks, it seems to be moving too much but i havent tested that axis thoroughly. the driver step jumpers are set to: 1/32nd for the X axis 1/32nd for the Y axis 1/16th for the Z axis 1/16th for the E axis I've tried updating new firmware onto the printer through Cura, which works but made 0 difference, the power going to the motors isn't too little or too much either. It only goes wrong when i start any print. I don't have a recording of it at hand (sorry), but ill make one such recording if asked! Thanks in advance, i just want my printer to work as expected again... PS: i will not scale the model in Cura to solve this, that's a band aid solution on a blown truck tire...
