  1. I'm currently attempting to print a 3D pattern of an array of cubes, lying on a thin flat bed. I attached an image of my model for reference. When I put it into Cura v5.0.0 and slice it, the program for some reason fills every other hole between 4 cubes. I also attached an image of the slice for reference. I tried messing with all the settings in the "Wall" section, but to no avail. It appears that the issue is not even with the walls, my initial thought was that the threshold angle for detecting edges was too large, but that does not appear to fix it... Is there a way to print this model correctly in Cura? Is there a print setting that I should be looking at that I'm not aware of? Thank you in advance for reading my post, any guidance is appreciated!
  2. Thank you for your response; Thank you for the information, I assumed that the movements in the Cura preview are not to scale, however I wasn't sure why it was printing the infills so fast... until you told me about the Speed color scheme in the Cura preview. That cleared everything up, and that is a very handy feature that I hope they keep! Turns out I was just looking at the wrong speed settings, I underestimated how fast 30 mm/s really is. Thank you for the help!
  3. I've recently recieved an old Anet A8 3D printer from a friend, and I have calibrated it using an old version of the Ultimaker Cura software (v14.07). I have recently upgraded to the version 5.0.0 of Cura Ultimaker, and I wanted to start printing using the latest versions. I'm attempting to print a Benhcy Boat, and while most of my setup appears to be working, something quite important that I noticed is the fact that whenever the printer prints the zig-zag infill structures, the extruder always moves very fast, regardless of what speed I set the "Speed" or "Infill Speed" settings to in Cura Ultimaker. Because of the infill being extruded that fast, my Benhcy Boat would usually have messed up walls, as the extruder would be moving too fast. I was wondering whether I am looking at the correct place to change the infill extruder speed, and whether there is something else that I could do to slow down the infill speed. Thank you in advance for reading my post, any help is appreciated!
