  1. with some changes in Cura re. supports recently in ver 5.2.1 are there any resources to read so I can improve settings when making small, detailed figures (D&D). I try to use tree and support blocker but sometimes the support is fast stuck to a small, detailed part like a sword or dragon wing. Generally, the figure is about 35 to 38 mm in Z axis.
  2. thanks. I didn't know there was a reply till today. I thought there would be a notification for replies.
  3. I have several prints going well for several months when recently Cura version 5.2.1 is adding support without my adding them into the slicer. I have looked at the settings several times prior to slicing and the support check is not there but when printing starts the support starts. also, just wondering, when i look at previews the supports when I want them, they are not showing in the slicer where in the past, I could see them??
  4. I attending a comacon with my kids in March. Going as Dumbledore. I boxed in college and got my nose busted twice sooo i need a new one. any suggestions? also it needs to have the ability to be fastened with spirit gum so ill need some way to glue it down. Its a tall request but any help is appreciated
  5. This is a picture of stepper motor located on the base. Not the belt that runs across the top from side to side but thanks anyway
  6. I have a Creality Ender 3 s1 pro. It has 2 jack screws (threaded arms) on each side of the vertical braces. The extruder rides on a rail that has a knob to tighten the belt at the back running horizontally. The threaded arms control the vertical motion. At the very top of the arms is another belt running from one arm horizontally to the other. This belt has no tightening knob and is loose. It should be snug. just wanted some help before I mess it up. Thanks
  7. are you aware there are viruses in your files, you should consider sending only pictures after a virus check
  8. I have been trying new things since my accident caused my disability. I purchased my Creality Ender 3s1 with hopes of learning something new. I hate getting behind the tech curve. Just a couple of niggling questions. First i have been watching many YouTube videos on printing and learned a lot. I was wondering if there are any online classes for my hobby printer. Also, i have printed several small 50 mm Z axis d&d subjects with moderate success. I assume i wrote that correctly. I am reading many posts and learning a lot. One thing i cannot narrow down is when i go to Thingaverse to find something i would like to print, is there a proper way to say take an object from 200 mm tall to about 35-40 mm tall without losing any of the designers' specifications other than height? I am using Cura as the slicer. I have also used an earlier version of Cura weighing one against the other. I've said too much now so back to my reading Cheers I have resolved my problems and found online classes
